Anyone found that laptop would not turn on at all without battery in it? It is battery or I need a new laptop. spare AC adapter no work either tx ..

with even a poor main battery, the laptop should boot on after a few minutes when connected to the power supply. You should see some led lights like the one at the power on-off switch. If totally dead, probably a bad power supply. If you have some LED activity but no power up, could be a Bios battery (a lithium coin cell on the back of the motherboard). these last about 5 years. Changing these are often via a removable cover. You need cheap digital voltmeter to test with, the meter Harbor freight sells is decent, and would tell you if the power supply/charger works, and if the bios battery has 3 volts. Its handy for other things like checking any battery (even the car), electrical outlets, etc.
