Exactly What I Needed for Minor Changes
Since I don't intend to make a living using this puncher, it did a great job for what I needed—punching clean holes in the strap end of an absolutely beautiful leather customized crossbody/shoulder bag from Oberon Design that I needed to shorten. The tool—that's easy to use & takes very little strength to make a clean hole—works like a pogo stick that goes nowhere but up & down. Plus, it's small & compact. So, it won't be in the way until I need it again. Because the end of the strap is fully enclosed between two separate pieces of metal, I needed to punch two holes of the correct size to fit over the two projections on the front metal piece—see those in the parts pic. After that was done & the strap end was fitted, glued, and enclosed, I needed to punch an additional hole of a different size in the larger body of the strap for adjusting its length for different needs. I did the work on a self-healing mat, using a 60mm rotary cutter for the shortening & then this punching tool for the three holes. (It took much longer to plot my strategy than it did to complete the job.) The photo showing 4 pieces contains the "original" metal end pieces, part of the strap that I cut off, & the end after the holes were punched & new end pieces were attached. As you can likely see, this is a very high-quality bag intended to last until the end of my days. (Note: no alligators were harmed to make it.) So, I didn't want to damage it with an amateurish customization. Nor did I want to involve the USPS by shipping it clear across the country to California & back or find someone local I could trust to work on it after inconveniencing someone to take it there. This solution was the fastest, least expensive & therefore the best. So, I'm awarding this tool 5 stars for helping me make it happen with the least amount of effort.

Works just like its advertised.
Great little tool, much easier to make holes than the traditional rotary head punch pliers. My only complaint is like the pliers, this kit only has the small size holes, good for most belts, but where is the big brother?

Easy to use and well made.
Easy to use and well made. Holes are clean cut and easily set through thicker leather stock or paper in layers Cation though ensure you have a sacrificial board or surface under your material or you will scare you work area.... Two Thumbs Up -- Recommend Buy

Its ok for the money
It works really good but a few suggestions I would include a case for the tool and little pieces and maybe some basic instructions. It's relatively self-explanatory but it would be good to include a small tool to push out the pieces that get stuck in the tip. Because unfortunately I did not realize that if you don't do that very often that it gets so stuck that you can't get them out and then the tip is useless. Thankfully it comes with a total of six different tips but they are all different sizes so that's not very helpful. I was able to use a paperclip to get them out going further but unfortunately one tip is no longer useful. And I was only using it for paper not even leather but it is so jam tight I can't get them out. Also the little piece of metal that is closest to the wood handle pops off and on really easily I'm not sure why. It doesn't have threads to screw on or off and it's a tad annoying. For the price it's relatively good I might return it for another that's a little bit better but it did get the job done. It is relatively Sharp and does a good job with the punching of paper I'm not sure how it would work on leather and overall it was pretty satisfying.

Ho! Lee! Cow! This is THE BEST-- I mean it!
You know those leather hole punches that have several little arms you rotate and then squish the handles on? THROW THOSE OUT! This is SO. MUCH. EASIER! Woks fabulously, nearly effortlessly. The only drawback-- if it's a drawback at all, is the size of the smallest diameter hole you can make with this. If it's large enough, you're golden. Wow, where has this been my last 25 years? TOP recommendation!

The mechanism is quite crude, the cutting blades were misshapen and got blunt after a few uses. Don’t waste your money
