This little supplement, which occurs naturally in nature keeps my mood in the “sweet spot”, not overly rambunctiously happy, but just happy. I try to take it about the same time every day, but if I’m a little late, it’s not a big deal, but if I’m late by hours, there’s a definite change in my mood, which I don’t like, so I make an effort to try and stay on schedule. I’ve been taking this supplement for more than a few years, and I wouldn’t be without it. It makes me want to get out of bed in the morning, and that’s a good thing. This medicine is nothing short of miraculous in how it has helped me manage my anxiety symptoms. For many reasons I choose to not take prescription medications, and now I have found something equally effect that is actually good for my brain. I take between 20-60mgs daily in three separate doses, depending upon how I feel. A calming effect is apparent after just 20 minutes, and enhanced concentration and deep sleep is an additional benefit to the reduction in anxiety. In general, I am a better listener and able to think and behave more rationally when I use this supplement. It can make me feel a bit drowsy or spaced-out, but I manage that with caffeine and exercise. I also plan on getting my lithium levels checked as I am at the high end of recommended nutritional supplementation levels (see studies by Dr. Jonathan V. Wright and John Gray). I have tried numerous other brands, and I find Weyland by far the most effective. It's also economical at the 10mg dose. Dad has Alzheimer's and sometimes had erratic even violent behaviors before taking this product. Lithium Orotate was recommended by his doctor. Tried this one and miracle happened on the first day. Dad behaved totally normal, quiet and calm. Over the course of 3 months he has been taking this product, he has improved SO MUCH that only very occasionally dad would become chatty and lose memories. Otherwise, he is a normal man. There is also NO any side effects at all ( dad takes 2 pills, one in the morning and one in the evening).
