I love this stuff! I have very curly hair, it's a loose spiral. this straightener makes it seriously straight, this is also the best straightener I'veused. It does initially make it dry but I fix that with dove conditioner on my hair for 20 minutes and it comes out silky soft. I threw my straightening iron away. My hair looks like I had a awesome blowout then straightened with a straight iron.

This relaxer is the best value you can get. What's good about this is that it's a one step process. Just apply and leave on for about 10 minutes, I have regular/fine curly hair (I'm mixed race). More or less time depending on your hair type. This will not damage your hair as long as know what you're doing. The people who left 1 start reviews most likely did it wrong. Read the directions, do not leave the product on too long, do not apply it directly to your scalp. Apply about 1/4-1/2 inch away from scalp. After you rinse out the relaxer apply a neutralizing shampoo or conditioner. I use Linange Neutralizing Conditioner for 5 minutes. The whole process is quick and easy, leaves my hair very smooth and manageable, and most importantly, has not caused damage to my hair or scalp.

It works great. Very important to follow directions. I left it on 10 min, used the Olive Oil neutralizer shampoo and their replenishing conditioner. It is much stronger than the regular kits sold in local stores. If doing a touchup, be sure to only apply to new growth. I had no burns. I recommend this product.

This product smells bad. Also, it does not work as described. The instructions say to leave it in your hair for up to 20 minutes. It didn't do anything. I had to leave it in my hair for over an hour to get any relaxing of my hair. As an older white male with mostly grey hair, the persistent wave just would not relax. It mostly but not completely relaxed after the long treatment. However the portion of my hair that was still somewhat black turned yellowish. I should also mention that the instructions are wordy and not clear. I found this product to be sub-standard and not worth buying. Don't get stuck with it like I did. Just don't buy it in the first place.

Make sure you have the appropriate hair type. Hair relaxers are designed for coarse Afro/Latino hair. This is not designed for silky wavy/curly hair. You could risk injuring yourself by burn, sores, and immediate hair loss! Also, never put a relaxer on a clean, freshly shampooed scalp. Do not scratch scalp before application. This causes scalp burn! Relaxers are best on hair that has not been washed in 7 days or more. Knowing this will prevent injury! Great for texlaxing. I apply it to my new growth only. I set a timer for 12-15 minuets which includes the application process and setting. Then I rinse it out completely followed by a neutralizing shampoo also from ORS. Consistent results every time.

This product works fast. If you mix it with a conditioner, it's not as strong.
