Fantastic belt lock system. Only down side is you can’t put it on just pants like a clip but I guess it wasn’t made for that. Works well getting wet and hold tight!

This is an ingenious little piece of engineering right here. I purchased two of these, one for use on my camelbak to mount a SOG mini Pentagon on the shoulder strap, and another for whatever else I might see the need for, because im sure ill find a need soon enough. The thumb safety or lock is truly a lock. It keeps the two outer tabs that clip the lower plate to the upper plate and lock the device in the closed position, while easy enough to quickly disengage. Its a little difficult to explain, but you'll see it as soon as you see the a tek lok in person. It is a very useful feature to have, not only as an added level of protection against the tek lok accidentally falling off, but also very useful when trying to wrestle it onto a padded strap that's a little too big. Overall the Tek Lok is a great little mounting device, very usable and very well constructed. A few points to keep in mind: -Distance between mounting holes (on center) is: 3/4 inch. -Maximum strap width and height (see below): 2 3/8 inch x 1/4 inch. -Padded shoulder straps, such as my camelbak or a similar system are a bit of a stretch for the Tek Lok. As I just noted the distance between the upper and lower plates of the tek lok is 1/4 inch. So the padding will have to be compressed if it is over that, and if its padded chances are good that the strap will be thicker than 1/4 inch. -Three sets of studs, screws, and rubber washers are included. -Two removable spacers are also included. These are perfect for mounting the tek lok on a belt or strap that is less than the maximum 2 3/8 wide. There are 8 slots in which they can be placed on the bottom plate of the tek lok to accommodate any width belt or desired offset.

This has to be the best belt retention for any holster, magazine, or other gear !!!!!!! I have used many other belt clips over the years. This one definitely is the best in the market.

This unit is effective for some holster set-ups. It may not solve every need but if you carry and need a decent removal option, these will do the job with little practice.

I'm a longtime UltiClip user and fan because I carry many of my small/medium size knives as personal protection/weapon retention tools which I carry concealed, off hand, IWB. But I do have knives that I prefer to carry as EDC general use knives and I really prefer to carry them horizontally, OWB. I've heard a lot about Tek-Lok belt clips over the years, but I never purchased one of them, and I'm not sure why. I'm so glad that I finally did. The quality is great and the toughness is amazing. I'm very proud to be supporting a company and wearing a product that's made in the USA! I've seen some reviews where people have complained because they don't fit certain sheaths, but this is quickly remedied if you buy a 1/4" grommet kit so you can space your grommets accordingly. As a matter of fact, grommets are not really even a necessity because these clips can be attached through any 1/4" diameter hole or groove. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future for my OWB carry needs!

As a knife maker and holster maker these attachment systems are a basic go to for me. They are modular in that they can be indexed in 90 degree increments, scout carry vs vertical carry for blades. They are robust and have alternative mounting options like the molle grooves. Don’t cheap out and buy the Chinese knockoffs, these are built in America and work very well! You can’t destroy them. Please don’t forget to use BLUE loctite when screwing your gear to these systems, your motion will almost always back screws out over days and months of use.

Had to modify my holster a bit so I could keep my holster set at an angle, but it was no fault of the product. It fit fine afterward and **is** a little bulky, but considering what it's meant for, I have zero complaints! There are no more issues with the holster flying or sliding off the belt, so I'm happy!

After several attempts to open (unlatch) I relied on narrow bit screwdriver to pry it open, and then had to one side at a time. Not user friendly as belt must be worn each time b4 tek lok can be attached to belt.

This is a great bit of kit to add extra items onto your duty belt or range belt.

Tek-Lok on Cold steel SRK-C works amazing, no issues. Well worth 20$ mounted on sheath no problem.
