I Am a Woman with diabetes who was looking for a way to balance my blood sugar. I've heard that Berberine is a Natural way to accomplish this goal. I try & take natural compounds, or herbs when I can. I do exercise daily - yet I felt I needed a supplement to further help both my Blood Sugar & my cholestrol. Well I uncovered the fact that Berberine is a naturally occurring compound in Nature, with a bitter taste (but the capsules aren't bitter). *Tree turmeric is rich in minerals, vitamins, and various phytochemicals, with berberine as the main bioactive compound [ berberine is touted to help with Diabetes, Heart disease, & inflammation]. On with the Review: I experienced no gas or tummy upset (which I was pleased about ), nor did I have cramps or a headache. These are possible issues - so best consult with your Dr. first (of course) -- in case there might be any interaction with medicine you are taking. The capsules have no taste, are pleasant enough. I have used other products /supplements by Research Labs. And they do seem to use quality ingredients. I was always pleased with the results. When I took their Resveratrol, it gave me extra energy. So I was eager to try the Berberine. Well, I can honestly say that it helped me out with my diabetic symptoms. In the past, I sometimes became dizzy (and even fell once, at night getting out of bed ). That was scary, and was due to my Diabetes. Since using berberine I do feel more balanced (and I am Able to do my daily treadmill ) - which I couldn't before. These pills are taken 3 times a day -- before meals (I had mine a half hour before my meal). You may want to make a chart/schedule to help u take the supplement at the right time. That way you'd likely have better results The Berberine is made in the USA -- in Utah, specifically. So that's a Plus in my book.
