Can any of these plants grow without being buried in gravel? Just simply by being in the water sitting on the gravel?

Most plants float if they aren't buried. The hornwort grows just as well or better just floating on the surface.

Can you tell me what plants were included in the California bundle? There is no real information and I need to know more specifics.

There are 6 species of plants. Plants in bunches have 5-7 stem plants that can be separated and planted on their own.
