IMS Precision shower screen for the Cimbali CI 200 IM

I replaced the standard shower screen on my EC-155 with this IMS one and it fit without issue. The screen does not go inside of the o-ring like the original does but all you have to do is tighten the mounting screw fully and everything works just the same. I did not use this with the original, pressurized portafilter so I would not recommend this unless you switch to a 51mm bottomless portafilter. I noticed a vastly improved pour through my bottomless portafilter with one smooth stream during extraction and a very even bed of coffee grounds forming a neat puck at the end. With the larger portafilter you can use the right amount of coffee for a shot, as well. You're not going to pull shots like your man-bunned-barista but you will certainly get more consistent results. This means you can focus on dosing and grind size rather than whether or not your getting consistent extraction through your grounds during the pull.

Fit my Saeco SIN006/Starbucks Barista espresso machine perfectly. Remarkable improvement in even dispersion over the original pod shower screen once adjusted in the right spot. May have to rotate it in just the right alignment to get good dispersion. Kind of trial and error, install, test run with no portafilter and watch how it drips. If its channeling in one or few spots and uneven, slightly loosen, rotate screen a little, gently tighten and try again. Repeat if needed until it has good dispersion.

This fits the Gaggia Classic but only if you have the after market holding plate from BIT

Using on my new BDB 920XL. No real upgrade in performance that I’ve noticed, but I do find that it’s easier to keep the group head clean. Do not over tighten when installing, it warps the screen causing it to “pop” in. If you touch the outside of the screen it should feel flush, if you’ve overtightened you’ll notice a sharp groove forms along edges.

I bought this for my Lelit Anna PL41TEM espresso machine. I did not notice a big difference in the extraction, flow, or puck. I think the stock shower screen had better performance. The biggest issue I had with the IMS screen is it's flimsy. So much so that you cannot tighten the screw down all the way and because of that the screw would back itself out from the pump vibrations. I had to return it as it became unusable. If only the screen was thicker but again did not notice any performance improvements.

I bought this screen for my Quick Mill Silvano but I didn't notice any improvement in the quality of my shots. Fitting the part onto the Silvano is sort of finicky, the retaining screw should barely be tight and there's a very narrow range of tightness where it works well at all. I went back to using the original screen which seemed to be a better match for my machine. I put my rating at 3 stars, middle of the range. Maybe it works better on other machines.

Not necessarily for most and it will not make huge difference in your coffee extraction

Our machine needed a new shower screen. This one is really nicely made, fits our Faema exactly and certainly seems to distribute the water better, determined by looking at the water flow with the porta filter off. Absolutely no complaints, it didn't even cost much more than an original wire mesh job. Did it make the pour different or coffee taste better. Well maybe but I' not good enough to tell. It is a lovely piece of engineering and certainly didn't make the coffee taste worse. I'll buy another when this one is worn out for sure.
