Q: Does this pick up shots for dry firing?

I had heard from some people that it is sensitive enough to pick up dry fire "clicks," but I have not had success with that. In fact, I sometimes use a modified airsoft gun with an IR laser for dry fire practice, and even with that louder sound it hasn't reliably picked up.

Q: Does this have a spy mode so I can record my time at matches?

It records split times, and can link to your phone to record even longer strings of data.

Q: Can this used solo? IE: does it have an adjustable timer so one person can hit the button and still get in the ready position before it beeps?

Yes, the timer can be set to beep immediately when the button is pushed, or have a random delay.

Q: What is the weight of this unit?

In the box, it weighs a little over .8oz... So, less than 8oz. out of the box
