CloSYS SLS Free Toothpaste with Fluoride, 7 Ounce, Gentle Mint

Well worth the price! I have been suffering with gum sensitivity & they kept getting irritated. The one I was using has SLS in it apparently will make gums irritated. I used this 2x and my gums were already feeling so much better. Makes my teeth feel clean also and the taste is not bad at all! The tube is also a good size

I had some dental treatment done and my hygienist recommended this specific toothpaste. Used this toothpaste for a few months, along with the mouthwash, and it didnt feel harsh on my gums and teeth. The taste is pleasant and not too minty that it stings your tongue. My breath also feels clean and fresh. Overall, I like how this toothpaste protects my teeth and gums from sensitivity, plus it seemed to have helped in the healing process post gum treatment. I plan to buy again.

I’ve been using this toothpaste for years as it was recommended by my dentist. It’s great and I have great check ups and Amazon is about the only place I seem to be able to find it so I hope they keep ordering it!

I replaced my strong-armed usual toothpaste with CloSYS per my dental hygienist's recommendation. I was tired of having long strips of my lips and inner cheeks sloughing off 24/7. The corners of my mouth were getting red and I would often have a red ring around my lips. My dentist said that was caused by Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). CloSYS does not have SLS. I use the sensitive formula to get the added fluoride and the light mint flavor. I like it, it cleans well, does not foam quite as much as other toothpastes. BUT ... A freak tweak of my wrist has caused a tiny bit of CloSYS to hit my open eye. Burning, searing pain. Also, apparently I am a mess with the toothbrushing, because I always get some paste on my clothes. Something in CloSYS removes the color from whatever it splashes on, even when the item is immediately rinsed or washed. Lost a lot of favorite tops and towels (used as bibs) this way. And some folks are highly sensitive to various artificial sweeteners. So it's good to know that CloSYS contains sucralose. Sure you rinse well and don't swallow teaspoons of the stuff, but it can happen. Plus there is always some residue left behind which, well, will come out behind. But overall, my favorite toothpaste, primarily because the absence of SLS means the tissues of my mouth stay intact and I don't get an irritated red ring around my lips. (Which I now find odd given that it strips the color right out of my clothes.)

A few months ago, I suddenly began having recurring outbreaks of canker sores. They would last for 3-4 days and were an absolute misery. No sooner would one canker sore start to heal than a new one would begin to appear. After several months of this, I went on a desperate search for answers as to why these repeated outbreaks were occurring. I tried changing my diet, eliminated citrus fruits, etc., and tried numerous topical remedies, all to no avail. Then I saw an article about SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), a common chemical agent used in soaps, shampoos, toothpaste and numerous cleaning products. The only purpose of SLS is to make the product produce foam. Although the presence of SLS does nothing to enhance the performance of the product, consumers tend to believe that a product is working better if it produces suds. The article went on to say that some consumers using toothpaste containing SLS experienced irritation of the mouth tissues, including outbreaks of canker sores. I went on a search for SLS-free toothpaste in my area and had no luck finding any, even at the big chain drug stores. I also discovered that even the so-called "natural" toothpastes on the shelf contained SLS. I turned to Amazon and after reading many reviews I decided to try CloSYS. I like that the product has the taste and smooth texture of regular toothpaste, as I'm not a fan of gritty textures or strange toothpaste flavors. It has a pleasant, minty flavor I enjoy. As promised, the toothpaste does not foam and actually reminds me of the old Pearl Drops. CloSYS is an expensive toothpaste, but once I started using it the canker sore outbreaks stopped and haven't occurred since. For me, that made the higher price tag worth every penny. It's only been a couple months since I began using CloSYS, so it may be too soon to know whether my canker sore problem will return. I'll update this review if that happens.

I was having problems with mouth sores all my life and couldn’t brush regular. I had a dentist suggest CloSys and have brushed twice a day everyday. No more mouth sores and the whitest teeth ever love my smile and fresh breath. Thank you Clo-Sys.

I'm glad I found a toothpaste that works for me

My wife has corrosive Oral Lichen Planus. This is the only toothpaste that does not hurt her while bruising teeth. It is very expensive at $30/tube … but in her condition, you can’t put a price on her comfort.

I had been using now foods xyli white tooth paste and then switched over to this when that ran out. This is very sweet in comparison. Yet to see its effects on gums.

Love this toothpaste it’s mild which I like and comes in a nice big tube. I’ve been using it about 5 years after my dentists advice and have used it ever since!
