The Twilight Zone: The Complete 80s Series

This is tv @ it’s very best. The dvds are great! I watched these years ago when they first came out & loved being able to watch them again. Well written with legends of Hollywood acting in the episodes. You will love these. You will find yourself wishing there was more even though there are some 168 episodes. Many of the issues they touch on are timeless & some are of the period. Great tv & enjoyable!!!

I grew up on the 80s twilight zone , and is hard to fin on streaming and im glad i found it. wuality is not the best, is a really basic conversion but i love the content and honestly the low fi kinda brings back so many memories. A small capsule into the 80s and a great piece for twilight zone collectors

I remember watching this TZ series back in 1985-89. Each episode was new--NOT a remake of classic episodes like "Twilight Zone: The Movie." It boasted such writers and directors as Wes Craven, Ray Bradbury, Stephen King, Arthur C. Clarke, and George R.R. Martin, and actors like Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Robert Klein, and even "A Christmas Story"s Melinda Dillon. Bruce Willis had just been discovered in the popular "Moonlighting" TV series. It's all on 13 DVD disks, very compactly housed in a fairly compact case. There are no subtitles for the hearing impaired, but seasons 2 and 3 have close-captioning for those with players that include that feature. The filmed episodes have not been especially restored, so the video quality in very SD, thus the 4 stars.

Twilight Zone 1980s : A great re-articulation of Rod Sterling' original T.Z. series in the late 1950s/1960s. Relevant T.Z. episodes take place in the 1980s before the Internet/Texting/Digital reality took hold!. Rod Serling T.Z. vision re-invented ,at its best, for Baby Boomers flourishing in the 1980s!

I’m not gonna talk about the quality of the series because if you’re thinking of ordering this then you probably like it. If you’re just ordering it to complete your Twilight Zone collection then you’ll probably order it anyway. Anyway, I will talk about what most other reviews mention: the packaging. The new packaging that all series box sets are switching to are these oversized plastic cases. This is better than Sony who had a trend of stacking all their discs on one spindle, or Millcreek who packages them in cardboard sleeves in a flimsy cardboard slipcase. I’m still not a fan of these oversized cases, but this one is not the worst I’ve seen. It’s only three seasons so it’s much smaller than other ones, and thus easier to flip through. Yes there is a spindle glued to the back of the case to hold the last disc because it was an odd number, but mine did not come loose and get glue on the disc. I even picked at it to see if it would come off and it seems like it’s there to stay. I was hesitant to purchase this set because al the reviews were the same, but I ended up being very happy taking a chance on this set. I’m sorry other reviewers were not so lucky. But I advise you to take the chance because the seasons separately are OOP and even though this set is widely available, sellers on eBay still charge outrageous prices for the individual box sets.

Absolute terrible quality, poor video, very weak audio. distorted aspect ratio on the screen the picture seems stretched out in width. complete garbage unfortunately. Extremely disappointed in this. Hopefully one day soon they will remaster these and do a proper release. Why even put this garbage out I just don’t get it.

This is the same problem as my review of V/H/S/94, Amazon couldn't be bothered to say what region it is on this D.V.D. I thought it would be NTSC, and my multi-region D.V.D. player would play it, but no! as with VHS 94, it won't play on my Playstation, or computer either, so 1 star review again, Amazon, for not including any region information, not the content of the discs, and again, I will be requesting a refund, so you lose money, Amazon, for this oversight.

1950年代のオリジナルのトワイライトゾーンは見たことがないので、くらべることはできません。大学時代に、レンタルビデオで借りてみていたのを思い出します。テレビ映画ながら、一作目から若き日の（毛がふさふさと生えた）ブルース・ウィリスが登場し、他にも原作者がSFの王者、レイ・ブラッドベリだったり、なかなか豪華です。一つの話が30分以内というのも時間をきにせず、気楽に見ることができるし、毎回、原作も出演者も違うので飽きません。何よりも泣かされるような素晴らしい話が多いです。英語字幕、日本語字幕ともありませんので、英語の素養がないと全ては理解できませんが、逆にとても勉強になります（毎回電子辞書を手元におけば）。私には満点の内容です！ ※注意しなければならないのは、DVDプレーヤーではリージョン（地域）が違うため再生できません。パソコンならOKです。

Would have been useful if the disks were coded to Australia. Luckily I was able to buy a reliable small inexpensive dvd player to play all coded region disks.
