**Q: The cajon came with strings taped down and velcro exposed.  Is the tape supposed to stay on or come off?**
A: Yes you can remove them for a more pronounced snare sound. The tapes are there to suppress the snare.

**Q: Does it come assembled?**
A: Yes. It came fully assembled and included the correct size allen key.

**Q: can you sit on it? (175lbs.)**
A: Yes.  I gave it to my nephew, who isn't quite (175lbs) but he had no trouble sitting on it.  It seemed like very good quality product (from what I could tell).

**Q: Is the opening in the box located in the back or on the side?**
A: It’s on the back
