I am 74 and a woman with 2 1/2" short hair that is thinning. I used to use Jonathan's Dirt putty for many years, but couldn't find it lately. I've tried many substitutions and I like Fatboy Perfect Putty even better. It gives me great volume, is more emolent and holds for 2 days. Not a day goes by where people don't stop me in public and compliment me on my hair style. It is so easy to look put together with a quick bean sized amount of this rubbed together in your hands then rubbing it all through your hair for volume and a quick shaping with your fingers. Easy peasy. Wash and dry hair 1st & 20 seconds later you are done & it lasts all day. Fantastic product!

Great hold and no shine.

I'm getting used to it. It's a little stickier than I expected, but it does give my hair more bounce and less frizzier. I'm still in search of the perfect product, though this is pretty good.

I recently cut my very long hair into a short, fluffy Mohawk-ish style. I love other products by this brand so I felt pretty confident that I would find this one to be usable. It’s more than good; it’s delightful! The texture is AMAZING! It is not at all sticky or slimy or weird. It’s just this glorious height, lift, volume and it is lightweight and so touchable. I can also use it when I want a more conservative look for work, parted and pulled to the side, or raked back and set with a hair claw. I am sensitive to chemical smells but this has a lovely rose scent that I have gotten compliments on. It is strong at first but fades to a much lighter scent upon applying. It is a part of my routine that makes me smile every day.

I’ve bought about 20 different pastes and waxes and this is by far my favorite. It’s not greasy, it’s actually matte and I wash my hair about every 3 days and it holds up. If I need to add some more, I do and it’s still not greasy. It also as a bonus does not have a strong scent! I hate the ones I can smell all day because they’re so strong. This is light and after it’s in my hair, I don’t smell it. My hair stays in place really well but I have a real pixie so I can’t at if it would still hold if your hair is a little longer.

I have short hair (around 2 - 3 inches) and I've tried lots of different things like gels, pomades, creams, and most recently a hair powder (that was gross!). I saw some other good reviews on Fatboy so I thought I'd give it a shot. WHERE has this been all my life?! When you dig it out of the container, it's kind of like a creamy putty. I use it on clean dry hair, though it says you can also do wet (haven't tried that yet). This works great! You basically put it in your hair and then sort of position your hair how you want it, and it stays! It has a really pleasant low odor scent, barely noticeable, which I like. I'll definitely be buying this again.

Hi I’m Erik and I am a hair product addict. A superb putty. This could be used to achieve a multitude of styles. I use it for a bedhead messy unkept look and it’s perfect. The texture and smooth application with just enough grit and grime. Green tea/peach blossom scent is nice, a bit strong. Scent lingers a bit but not too not long. It truly does give a second day look to your hair day one.
