La Baleine Sea Salt is all natural Mediterranean sea salt. It is the number one iimported sea salt in the US. Review: Poor packaging - We love this salt and usually buy it from Safeway, but they were out so we went with desertcart. Unfortunately the box arrived a mess and one of the salt containers was open and missing half it’s salt. Probably won’t buy this online again. Review: broken, badly designed container - thin paper on bottom of these. 4 out of 6 were broken with salt all over my package. one had top off too. usually these tall thin containers have hard plastic on the bottom not paper. I need refund.

Poor packaging
We love this salt and usually buy it from Safeway, but they were out so we went with Amazon. Unfortunately the box arrived a mess and one of the salt containers was open and missing half it’s salt. Probably won’t buy this online again.

A quality addition to your seasonings
The salt is wonderful, but I am disappointed in the opening. I cannot call it "new" because it's been years since I last purchased it. Previously it opened like a container of parmesan cheese that you sprinkle, so you could adjust the opening narrowly to, well, sprinkle it! as you would on some asparagus you might be pan frying. This too generous opening doesn't allow for that. I'll have to pour a little in the palm of my hand, put down the container, then grab the granules to sprinkle them. So, what was a one handed operation now takes two. The other "parmesan" top allowed far more control. This one is "on/off."

my favorite salt
Baleine salt is my favorite. I use the fine every day and the coarse for a final touch/crunch. No complaints - it's the only brand of salt I use. My only problem is that when Amazon ships the salt, usually half of the containers' lids have popped off and salt is everywhere and I have to find an alternative container for all the loose salt! Amazon, be careful when you're packing it, please!

A little too coarse for me
I'm using this sea salt as part of a mixture for therapeutic baths after deep tissue massage or heavy workouts. The only problem is that this salt is so coarse then it takes forever to dissolve, so I would probably buy a less course option in the future.

Good salt for a dining table salt grinder
This was excellent sea salt. I was hoping for something a little more coarse. The consistency of this salt it on par with ice cream making salt. But it's still big enough to not just call out of my OXO salt grinder. This salt works just fine.
