I bought these to cover wires going across my driveway for my electric fence opener, and these work great! Very durable!

I was looking for a small speed bump to tell me when I should stop in my garage. I cannot drill into the concrete (it's a shared garage) so it needed to be a surface mount. I also wanted something that would tell me I'd gone too far, not necessarily something tor stop me. These are pretty perfect for my situation, which includes a small sports car and a small SUV. With a larger car you might not be able to feel the humps. The humps are well made, have a convenient yellow stripe on the top to stop you from tripping. Right out of the box, there is a very, very, very strong odor of burnt rubber. It even permeated the shipping box and I had to leave it outside waiting for trash day! After a couple of days, the smell in the garage went away, but our garage is very well ventilated. If you've got a normal house garage, I would recommend leaving them out for a couple of days. Pros: - Good value for money - can cover two parking spaces with some gaps - Just high enough to feel, not high enough to stop a car. Cons: - Need to air them out prior to installation - Although there are some flat spots on the bottoms, it was hard to find enough of them to use a glue, like liquid nails to tack them down to the floor - They do not come with any fastening system to mount on the floor. Recommendation: I would only use thee in a well ventilated area, but they seem like they will resist heavy traffic for a long time and easily protect a cord. As speed humps, they are marginal. They work in my situation because I also have sonic "curb feelers" on my cars, so these are simply a second line of defense against crashing into the wall.

Update: 5/18/22 The smell never went away even a year later. I finally went and had my car professionally cleaned and o-zoned. $1000 later the smell is finally gone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: 10/14/2021 My car still stinks of these even though it's been several months since I returned them. I ended up having to pay a large shipping fee to get them returned. This has been my worst experience with anything I have ever purchased. ---------------------------------------- I bought these for a live webcast we were producing. I read about the smell and assumed I would just leave them outside in the sun for a couple days to get the smell out. I was wrong. Like other reviewers mention, that didn't work. I then transported them in my SUV with a moving blanket in between them and my SUV interior. The whole car stinks like toxic fumes now. I took the moving blanket out and washed it twice and it still stinks. My car without it in there wreaks. I can barely drive it now for more than 15 minutes without getting a bad headache and so have to drive with all the windows down. I drove around for 4 hours so far with the windows down to try to air out the car. It hasn't worked. I have these now back out in the sun and they still stink. So bad that I can smell them in the house even though they are 50 feet from the house in the yard. This is crazy how bad it is. I don't recommend these. I might have to spend a good amount of money just to get my car professionally cleaned out to get the smell out. And again, they didn't even touch the interior of my car!

My fault for not making sure that the cord was not protected from the ground this product just lays over the top.

These are great to protect open wires in traveled areas. They are made from recycled rubber and really smell. Ok for use in a garage but not in an enclosed environment like a home or office. The odor does lessen after 6 months or so.
