Works as intended, fast charge.
Great price, and does what it should. However, a little warning: 4.0 Amps isn't enough once you get going, unless you are going out for a 5 minute job. If you are clearing a path, you may want to go to 6.0 amps.

Nice battery and charger set.
I needed a new Makita battery and charger for my akita tools, and this set is nice. The charger can charge the battery fairly quickly. The battery holds a great charge and fits all of my 18V Makita tools. They are so easy to use too. The battery has the LED power indicators so I can easily see how much power is remaining in the battery.

Great charger for Makita cordless hammer drill
This charger works great with the Makita cordless hammer drill, 18v. The charger plugs into any socket and takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge the drill. I am happy with this combo.

Best Battery Run Time
Purchased this for use with a Makita XDS01Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Cut-Out Saw also recently purchased. Cut over 60 linier feet of 1/2" sheetrock and the battery was still at 3/4 of full charge.
