Behind Closed Doors

Although Kimberla is certainly becoming one of the more prolific and popular writers, I admit I have not read much of her work until now. But upon finding out that she too began as a self-published writer, I wanted to check out her work and so I began at the beginning.I read this novel in two days, could not put it down. I found Karen and Regina to be very compelling characters that any woman could relate to. And that's what I always look for first and foremost in any work, is a highly relatable character. Although the story line was a bit predictable, it was still entertaining. I still wanted to know what happened and how the characters worked through their situations and refused to put the book down until I did.As with any writer, I think the more you write, the better you write over time. But for a first effort, I was not disappointed and Ms. Kimberla has certainly earned a new fan.

I think for her first book it was well written. I loved the story line. She had me thinking what is going to happen next. This noval just shows you that no one is perfect and when life throws you curve balls you gotta know how to move on from the bad things that happen that is not in our control. I think the men in the book were selffish. Dealing with a man who got gambling problem and a man that cheating on his wife is hard to deal with it. Its funny how the man that was cheating he though that the grass was greener on the other side. you can tell he was cheating because now he workin long hours , going on more business trips and going out every friday night with his boys playin card ect... this book just proves you never know what might be going on behind closed doors. I think anyone who loves to read should buy this book. Its a page turner and you wont want to put it down. I LOVED THIS BOOK BUY IT READ IT!

I know this book was written a while ago but I enjoyed reading it anyway. I have read a lot of Kimberla's books (particularly the Curtis Black Series) but I find myself reaching back for some of the older books. It was very short but all in all not a bad read.

Lack luster. Not as moving as her other stuff. The ending was so abrupt. I could not beliee it was over.

Even though this is one of her older works it was still a great read. When you read this book it makes you feel as if you are right in there with the characters. The feelings that these women have hit so close to home it is amazing. This woman has become one of my favorite author's and I love all of her work. She always gives you something to think about as you are reading. The seller also gave very prompt service. If you want your item fast this is the person to deal with.

the old saying you don't miss your water till the well runs dry is true,both woman went through typical marital situations,both ended up with happy endings,so proud of Regina for realizing Larry didn't deserve her. happy as all get out that Karen and John were able to solve their situation.

My favorite Author great book...Must Book from start to finish

I like this book,but there were times in the story that I found that it took away my complete interest in the story. This surprises me , because until I read this book I NEVER had anything negative to sa y about Ms. ROBY's books. Didn't say I didn't like the book, just saying it co u of have been better.LizMire
