Will these keep ice cream ?

I have not tried to use it for ice cream but I did take frozen food on a 5 hour journey and it was still frozen. I think it depends how long you need to keep it frozen.

Is there enough room inside for a spoon?

Yes, for a small spoon with a short handle. This container is HUGE. But there isn’t a separate compartment utensils inside, so you would be putting your spoon in your food essentially.
