The instructions tell you to leave in for 5 minutes then wash with shampoo, just like the regular dye. This has almost zero effect. This isn't a dye, it's a stain. I leave it in for an hour (at least 40 minutes) then rinse out with water only. If it's too dark, rinse a little more. This produces the effect I'm looking for. Don't do this with the regular dye! It will be too dark and look unnatural.

I purchased this product to use on my goatee. I followed the directions and used it for the full 5 minutes. It goes on dark and you think it's too dark! But after showering...nothing. So next time I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes - same result. Not one to give up I left it on for 15 minutes, and finally for 20 minutes. It just doesn't work with me.

Great price - much easier than running out to the drug store! I would recommend to anyone who has a man in their life who needs that little something.
