A few months later and everything is working great. Which leads me to my real point
As far as the product goes, it works totally as advertised. It was a breeze to install. I just cut the power to the area, unscrewed the wall plate, unscrewed the prior switch, unscrewed the screws connecting the wiring, refit the wiring around the screws on the dimmer switch and put everything back. Five minutes per switch and done. A few months later and everything is working great. Which leads me to my real point. Dimmer switches are AWESOME! I have a new construction home that has recessed LED lighting throughout and it is BRIGHT. So bright, in fact, that we never turned them on unless we were looking for something that our infant lost or if we were taking interior pictures. We had lamps for regular use. It was crazy bright. Enter these dimmer switches and now my home is SEXY. The little button to the right of the main switch toggles through about 10-12 different shades of light ranging from as bright as original to off. there is a nice little setting before off that is very dim and perfect for if you are watching a movie or napping but don't want pitch black. Another great feature is when you go from off to on and vice-versa, the light fades in/out. Its a nice touch that multiple people have commented on. Also, the light automatically goes to your last dim level when you turn the lights back on and there is a little LED indicator to let you know what level you are. If you don't have dimmers installed in your house, I would recommend it. they are a great, inexpensive way to make your house more enjoyable, cooler, more attractive. Since I installed the first one in the living room I have bought three more for the bedroom, basement and kitchen. Soon I will have them in most of the other rooms in the house.

Be aware that it's thicker than regular switches, alignment & flushness requires some work
Lutron makes the best dimmers, hands-down. Installation can be a bit challenging if you have very tight wallboxes with little to no room. Basically, you need to tear off the fins on each side and then line them up with where the old switch was, which can be a process of trial-and-error of screwing it in and then checking if your old wallplate lines up with the switch. Getting it to be flush with your old wallplate also needs some continual tweaking after you check how it's lining up. Also, be aware that the back of the switch that houses the actual dimming mechanism is quite thick ad bulky, so you need a lot of room in your wallbox to fit this — it can be tricky if there's already a ton of wires back there. I had to really jam it in and basically crush the wires in to get it to fit. You can install these in any configuration and keep the old switches in the same wallbox without swapping everything out. I have the Maestros installed in a 2-gang box, a 4-gang box, and a 1-gang box and it all works great. Just make sure you're tearing off the fins to get it to fit right, because it can get very tight. I would suggest using the Philips Warm Glow LEDs with these, because those bulbs are excellent and dim all the way down to 10% with a gentle on/off motion. Note that Lutron's website won't show those as compatible, but they do work really well with this dimmer. I personally like the Maestro better than the Diva, so it worked out great. Replaced all the switches in my home with this.

The Best LED Dimmers!
This is an honest review of the Lutron Maestro LED Dimmer switch that I have purchased and installed in multiple locations throughout my home. Pros: These LED dimmers are an excellent option for dimming overly bright LED lights, which is why I have used them all throughout my house, including in the kitchen, bar, bathrooms, office, hallways, and so on. They are also very easy to install. My favorite feature is the functionality with the saved dimmer settings that keeps the light in my rooms soothing instead of overly bright. Opportunities: Personally, I think these switches are great as is, though they do sometimes confuse guests. Overall: If you’re sensitive to bright lights or you simply want to upgrade your switches, these LED dimmers are a great option.

Worked perfectly.
I needed a dimmer on a 3-way switch that would interface with Alexa, this item did exactly that. Very well packaged and documented with easy straight forward instructions. Since I already had Alexa set up I was surprised that it found the switch almost the moment I turned it on. Thank you.

This dimmer switch has really great compatibility with a large number of generic LED pot lights. Other dimmer brands would cause the LEDs to flicker or have a buzzing noise, but not this one. Installation is pretty straightforward if you have existing switch and swapping it out for the other. The only possible complication in this scenario is the extra depth caused by the bulkiness of the switch, if you have extra wires inside the receptacle. In terms of functionality, the dimmer switch remembers the last brightness setting before switched off. You can also reach maximum brightness by double tapping the switch. What I like most about this dimmer switch is that the change between brightness level is gradual and gentle to the eyes, e.g. from maximum brightness to off. Built quality of the switch is great as well. Highly recommend despite being pricier and no smart wifi connectivity if you are looking for compatibility with generic lights.

I installed this in about 10 minutes - mind you, I am an electrician but its not hard even for DIY'ers. It has a brightness memory, a quick full bright on double click, and a fade off. It also has slight illumination of the switch for easy find in the dark with a row of dim LED's. It shows you the current level with those LED's when the light is on. The only thing to get used to is pressing a button instead of flicking a switch or sliding a lever. Adjustment is easy with a separate button for increase or decrease. I recommend this if you can afford it (price is the only thing not going for this) worked great with my dimmable LED bulbs.

If you are ever unsure which dimmer to buy, this is the one suitable for all applications - incandescent, halogen and LED. As well, it can be used in any switch configuration (single or multiple switch). All you need is one dimmer control in the circuit, regardless of how many switches control the light. There is a simple programming step that must be followed for proper operation when used in a multiple switch configuration. I have never experienced any issues with controlling LED lighting with this dimmer (no flickering, brightness fluctuation or variation in setting after turning off and on). A nice feature is that the lights fade on and off within about 2 seconds rather than instantaneously switching. Just make sure that you do not exceed the max 150W rating for LED or 600W rating for halogen and incandescent.
