Learn braille by sight. Dots are printed, not embossed so that a sighted person can easily learn braille to assist a visually impaired person. The type of braille in this book is called UEB (Unified English Braille) which is the international standard for English speaking countries. In this book, you will learn Grade 1 and Grade 2 braille, which is now known as uncontracted and contracted braille. Review: A good book - Great book which was somewhat concise. A good book
Great book which was somewhat concise. I'd recommend getting the app Braille Decoded with this book if you plan on learning braille as a sighted person. That app has been equally as helpful, though I'm waiting on the update to be released, having found and reported several errors in it to the developer, who noted them when checking the app and he'd even seen the one I'd found more recently on his own. I can share screenshots of emails, if needed, as while I'm weird, at least I'm honest, aligned with good, and don't attempt to harm things with sense.... I digress on a tangent.

FUNCTIONAL
It had all the information I wanted to know about Braille. Only thing is it doesn't have any actual embossing on it, so... If you're trying to use this to teach someone who is legitimately blind, this is not what you are looking for. Great for sighted teaching though.

Gewd book. Tons of stuff just in this small book. Very helpful to just learn grammar stuff as well, for a secondary benefit.

Really good. But it's very costly.
The book does a pretty good job at helping us get started with Braille. But for the amount you're paying, I just think it's better to download a PDF online. I thought since the cost is this high, the book will have some kind of engravings or some kind of marks on the sheet. But there's nothing. I still am not sure why the cost is this high. Just wanted y'all to know this, in case you were expecting any engravings inside the pages.
