the ends on this unit connect more cleanly and solidly than generic duct elbows. Saves a lot of effort while hooking it up, wish I had known about this decades ago

It fits and does what I want. That said, I guess anything made of thin aluminum could be hazardous to your hands. It has more sharp edges than Megan Kelly. I do not envy people who regularly work with ductwork. Regardless, it fit. It works.

Solved a problem with dryer duct needing to make a 90 degree turn. Now the new semi rigid duct can maintain its shape.

Works well.

It fit well on my Whirlpool washer with a 4 inch opening. It had slits on one end that went on the washer. It was easy to install but I had to kind of angle it and keep turning until it went on. The 4 inch dryer vent hose clamped on the other side great. It was easy to use and seems durable with a good connection. It's flexible and easy to turn in different directions. Attaching the 4 inch dryer vent hose first to the metal piece with the clamp will make it easier to put on or take off the 90 degree attachment instead of unscrewing the clamp every time. It looks nice and very durable. I bought it because I was going to move my dryer farther from the outdoor vent but decided not to. I was hoping I could still use it but my husband didn't think it would work in the shorter distance so will be returning it. I would definitely recommend it.

Perhaps there are a fortunate few installations wherein the dryer vent wall port connection is directly behind the vent port connection on the dryer, but if not and your dryer is part of the Whirlpool, Maytag, etc, family then this product is highly recommended to avoid potentially hazardous air flow restrictions in your vent duct tubing. Yes, it is made from a thin gauge material, but with taking care with your install that should not matter. Prior to installing this product my dryer’s flexible vent duct tubing (the higher quality type) had to make two 90 degree turns which both restricted air flow and shortened the life of the flexible duct tubing when disconnected for vent cleaning. Now with this product on the back of the dryer the flexible tubing only needs to make a very shallow turn to meet the wall connection. Another advantage to this product is that while you will need the hose clamps for the each end of the vent duct tubing (one at wall connection and the other for the “rippled” end of this product), this product slides snugly onto the back vent connection of this family of dryers without needing a clamp to keep it there (as long as it is pushed all the way in so the flange meets the back of the dryer panel). When it is time to clean out the vent tube it is easy to remove from the back of the dryer without causing stress on the duct tubing.

I wanted to get our dryer closer to the wall without risking crushing the flexible duct. This provides a close bend to point the duct in the general direction of the vent. The connection that goes on the dryer was properly sized and pre-slit for clamping. The collar was long enough to easily get a clamp in place but short enough that the piece didn't extend from the dryer much more than the 4" duct diameter. The connection to the duct was fluted so the duct was easy to slide onto the elbow. The aluminum is thick enough that the duct doesn't crush under the pressure of the clamp.

I recently purchased the Whirlpool 4396006RW Genuine OEM Elbow Vent Connector for my dryer, and I couldn’t be more pleased.
