Skimmer Basket Puller

Great device

Dont have to get on your hands and knees to remove the basket stand up dump it get back down to reinstall. One side of the handle takes lid off spin it around it takes out the basket. Dump it and put back on the hook and lower into pool. Then spin the handle over and reinstall the lid. Super easy and fast.

Following knee surgery I didn't know how I was going to pull the skimmer basket - skimmer basket puller to the rescue! Well made (in USA - even better), sturdy, will stand up to the weather well (I intend to leave it lying next to the skimmers). The extra feature of the skimmer lid remover is awesome. I don't have any trouble bending down to complete the task, but sometimes my lid will stick - this tool will give you the leverage you need to un-stick the lid and save your fingers! I can also find dead mice in my basket - along with spiders and all kinds of icky things - no need to get the rubber gloves out - this tool avoids all contact! Highly recommend!!

No need to get on my hands and knees anymore to open and empty the skimmer baskets!!!! Also saves you from sticking your hands into the water to retrieve them, which can get pretty gross sometimes...

Like many, I got tired of dipping my hand among spiders to grab a skimmer basket. Some kind of tool is necessary to make it safe and easy, and this does the trick nicely. Overall it is easy to use, puts even pressure on both sides of the handle (previous handles broke over time when using a simple hook apparatus in the middle), and I like that it also has a little nub to lift the cover. It's made of a very rigid plastic that seems to hold up well in the 1-2 punch of water and sunlight. The only thing it's missing is an easy way to hang it up, making it necessary to install it on a double hook or such. It is a bit on the expensive side for what it is, but yet it seems like it may hold up for many years too, so over time it should be worth it.

I would rate this item with ten stars! The skimmer basket puller arrived earlier than expected. The packaging of the item was perfect...it just needed a bow! I couldn’t wait to try this skimmer basket puller out. It is PERFECT! I was able to open the skimmer cover, remove the basket and replace it back into the skimmer with NO BENDING...NO fear of those baby snakes surprising me! THANK YOU THANK YOU for this amazing USA made product. It is perfection and a must-have for every pool owner!

Without even bending over, this tool allows you to use the hook from one end to open the skimmer. You then use the other end to lift the skimmer basket. No more risk of touching snakes, spiders and other critters.

Great product, as described. Looks like the best one I have seen. Easy to use and works great. I have a Hayward skimmer basket. No more sticking my hand down in the unknown. I like the plastic, won’t rust or damage the pool. We will see how it holds up. Rating 4 four stars because of cost, feel like it’s a little over priced.
