A novel of my experience: Using this for the first time with their ultra gentle cleanser (alternating with a salicylic acid cleanser once a week or so) also for the first time. The cleanser and the face balm don't even make my highly irritable skin flush - as someone who has rosacea flushing and bumps this was the surprising; I am sensitive to aloe, oat, alcohol, borderline anything under the rainbow including the sun. After a week or two I really noticed that my overall redness was calming down. I added a nightly routine of jojoba oil (heard it was good for aging skin and easy, not a professional though) as well as consistent and religious application of a fragrance free mineral sunscreen. Honestly, my face hasn't been this happy in years. My triggered flare ups are few and far between if any in the last couple months. The balm isn't over the top hydrating, but my face is also in a healing stage in a dry climate so hard to comment on that. To each their own, but I would consider this part of my skin care routine for the foreseeable future.
