I knew we wanted better audio, but I wasn’t expecting such a noticeable improvement. I’m genuinely impressed with how good the recordings sound with this little microphone. Her voice comes through much more clearly, and what really stands out is how much less background noise we hear in the recordings. Instead of distracting sounds competing with what she’s saying, the audio feels much more focused on her voice. For a class lecture, where students need to follow along and understand what’s being explained, that makes a big difference. It’s easy to get caught up in the camera and picture quality when putting together a recording setup, but this purchase really drove home how much the sound matters. A nice picture is great, but clear speech is what makes a lecture easier to listen to. This mic has been a very worthwhile addition to her setup. I can only speak to how we’re using it, but for recording her online lectures, I couldn’t be happier with the improvement. The audio quality and reduction in background noise have exceeded my expectations. If you’re recording classes or similar videos where your voice is the main focus, I highly recommend it. A must have for us! Review: Great sounding affordable microphone! Must have for all different situation! - This is the first DSLR mic that I own for my camera, and I can tell the difference right away. Well, it's not only for DSLR cameras, but you can use it with your smartphone as well, by using the TRRS cable that comes in the box(which is around $14.00 if you buy separately.) That's a saving from the start. Basically, you can do your Instagram/Facebook live sessions or Zoom sessions or just record videos with your family with this mic for better audio results. The mic is a super-cardioid pattern that captures mainly what is in front of it rather than the ambience around so the closer you get the better it sounds. It's very light that it can be attached to the matte box of my camera if needed. Another feature that I like is that you can use it as a shotgun mic with a boom pole. The only thing is you have to make sure there is not too much headroom when filming so you can get as closer as you can to the subject and capture the best sound possible and the last feature that it sold me was the fact that you can connect another microphone to it, so basically you can have two sources of sound and separate them in post. Overall the sound of this microphone is great for such a low price. It's very warm and just crispy enough to where it doesn't accentuate the sh or sss. It's definitely a good choice to have it handy not just for bloggers, YouTubers or filmmakers but regular people that would like to have a good sound out their phones or camera. ## Features - Ultra Lightweight Compact design - 20mph Wind Rating - Passive – runs of 1-5V from cameras, phones, and audio recorders - Automatic extra track Assignment when a secondary source is plugged in - Includes – Microphone, Faux fur Windshield, TRS Camera Cable, TRRS Phone Cable, Shockmount ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0995SY1FL | | Antenna Location | Streaming | | Audible Noise | 74 db | | Audio Sensitivity | 30 db | | Best Sellers Rank | #21 in Professional Video Microphones | | Brand | Deity | | Built-In Media | microphone | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Camera, Smartphone | | Connectivity Technology | Auxiliary | | Connector Type | 3.5 mm Jack | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 363 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Fur | | Frequency Response | 20 KHz | | Item Highlight | 20mph Wind Rating,Plug-in Power,TRS/TRRS Cables,Dual-track input. | | Item Weight | 0.15 kg | | Manufacturer | Deity | | Mfr Part Number | 712350116170 | | Microphone Form Factor | Mini | | Model Name | V Mic D4 Mini | | Model Number | V Mic D4 Mini | | Number of Channels | 1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Polar Pattern | Super Cardioid | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Recommended Uses For Product | Streaming | | Signal-to-Noise Ratio | 74 db | | Special Feature | Lightweight, Wireless | | UPC | 712350116170 712350116187 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Deity - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Camera, Smartphone - **Connectivity Technology:** Auxiliary - **Connector Type:** 3.5 mm Jack - **Included Components:** microphone - **Model Name:** V Mic D4 Mini - **Polar Pattern:** Super Cardioid - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Streaming - **Special Feature:** Lightweight, Wireless ## Images ![Deity D4 MINI - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Nzk0KLulL.jpg) ![Deity D4 MINI - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lPIXJ2gtL.jpg) ![Deity D4 MINI - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hU8qgX6SL.jpg) ![Deity D4 MINI - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71xmtOGbvwL.jpg) ![Deity D4 MINI - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XgQobnoVL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this an authorized deity dealer and/or seller? is the warranty covered by deity if i register the products on their site?** A: we are an authorized deity seller on amazon . there is the warranty. Any problem, please talk with us. **Q: I tired everything to get it to work with my iPhone 13 pro and it just won’t** A: I am guessing ( I use an Android ), but you need to get a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter then plug the correct cable into the adapter. It should be the TRRS cable that is labelled smartphone. The other cable ( TRS ) is missing the connection for mic, and more like a headphone headphone connector, not a headset. The genuine Apple connector does have support for the TRRS connector. **Q: I don't get how this mic could work with a smartphone. smartphones do not provide plug in power. am i missing something?** A: I don't know if all smartphones do but many do. It's the same way that something like wired earbuds work through either the headphone jack or dongles in the power port. It just isn't a whole ton of power. **Q: What's the ideal capture distance from speaker to mic?** A: There is no specific distance. You just adjust the levels on camera. It has worked great for me recording social and corporate events recording speakers and audience alike. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A massive improvement for my wife’s online lectures *by D***E on October 6, 2026* This Deity V-Mic D4 Mini has made a massive difference in the lectures my wife records for her online class.
