I love this scale—wide base and clear display. It also has more reliable weight readings compared to the one I had before that would give you 3 different weights if you stepped on it 3 times. This one does require you to step on twice. The first reading will always be about 5 pounds high. Then the 2nd is right and if you step on more times, it is always the 2nd weight. Unfortunately, after 4 months, when I stepped on it the first time one morning, the weight was 300+ pounds, then ERR, then random numbers. I checked the batteries (still fully charged), took them out and put them back in. Then, just random results, never an accurate weight. Of course, this is beyond Amazon’s guarantee, but I reached out to Escali and asked if it was covered under warranty. It is! And they are sending a new one!

I weigh every morning, and can no longer easily pull out a scale and put it back every day. I wanted something small enough to just leave it out all the time in the same place I’ll use it - in front of my bathroom sink on the tile. This scale is perfect for me. It’s very low to the ground, has great slip-resistant feet, enough room for easy stepping on and off, and a very small length and width. I just leave it in place before my sink. When I use my sink I just stand slightly feet apart, and they fit on each side of this scale easily. It’s almost like it’s not there. Now, that’s just me. Other people would just move it under the bathroom storage with their toe or something, or bend over to move it, or maybe have a dedicated place to put it. Anyway, whether you move it daily or not, it’s a great scale with smaller overall size, large enough to step on and off easily and firmly, with large numbers that light up quite well. It flashes a few weights as it hones in on a final number, then it flashes when it reaches your weight. The number stays on a few seconds so you can step off and look down. I keep the numbers in my peripheral vision as it swings through some numbers, and when I see it flash on and off I know I can step away and look at it. I also like that it gives me a tenth’s place (though rounded to the nearest even number). For example, it might say 235.4 or 189.8, but it will not say 156.7, for example. So it’s to the nearest two-tenths. (More than good enough, and better than just to the nearest pound.) Batteries are easy. It arrived promptly. It has a beautiful subtle design. No downside to this good purchase. I recommend it.

In order to calibrate this scale, you're supposed to step on it, then step back off, and it will show some small weight and then a "C" then "0.0" to indicate it has tared itself. Step on it again and it gives you a weight. But the next time you go to use it, the weight fluctuates up and down rapidly by several tenths and doesn't settle on a weight. So you step back off, only to see it tare itself again. Sometimes you have to go through this cycle several times before it produces a stable result. This turns what should be a quick weigh-in that takes a few seconds, to an ordeal taking the better part of a minute. Meanwhile, my old one you turn it on, it automatically tares itself, you step on, get a weight in a few seconds, and you're done. That scale is from 2003. Buy another brand. Escali apparently can't figure out how to make a simple bathroom scale that's actually usable.

Let me get my one con out of the way. I am a bigger person and when i use it I never know when its done so i just kinda have to hope when i get off its not still weighing me and i don't get a good reading. I have learned to be more patient and stand more still which seems to have done the trick but i wish there was a beep or something. I like how wide it is and the numbers are clear and matched my doctor weigh in on the same day so 10/10.

It's a great scale. I got the extra wide because I am big, but the other dimension is smaller so my large feet hang off the top. It is easy to use and easy to read.

After using the common spring-type scale, this one is great. Immediately turns on, Numbers are bright and easily seen/read. Very little variance when on the scale (unlike spring-type). Comfortable to stand on without having feet/legs too close for comfort. Highly recommended.

Easy to use, as accurate as the scale at my doctor's office, large enough so you don't have to worry about losing your balance, the red numbers are easy to read without having to bend over, and the black, slim, low profile design is very stylish. Also one of the most inexpensive at Amazon. I love it.

The scales seem robustly made, look good and work well. However, they need a safety warning as looking at your weight on the display can be quite traumatic!!!

Works very well. Have used it for a couple years now and have had no problems. Has the advantage of being very nice looking.

Pas très profonde. Suffisamment large. La lecture est rapide et constante.

Love this scale. The deck is wider, easier to get on it.
