Works great, soak overnight in hot water.
I use this product to clean the filters in my hot tub. I put the product in the bottom of a 10 gallon garbage can. I fill the garbage can with hot water. Then I add my two filters and let them sit overnight or 24 hours. Then I take the filtersoutside and I hose them off and they come out like brand new.

Pool Filter Deep Cleaner
Product is a value with respect to price and performance. It is much lower priced than some other products, but the hazardous acid wash products (mix of Muriatic Acid and Perchloric Acid) work much better. The product ingredients and performance are similar to Oxy cleaning products. The manufacturer needs to improve the directions to more precisely describe the suggested concentration of product. "a half-cup in a bucket of water" is not useful (is the bucket assumed to be 1 gallon? 5 gallon? 30 gallon? I use a third of a 90 gallon trash can - so how much do I need for 30 gallons? I wound up using a full 1-pound bottle to about 30 gallons of water (about 3 cups, or 6 half-cups per 5 gallons). I have a 15K gallon pool that uses four larger Hayward filters. I hose-rinse them quarterly, and annually I swap out with a second set for a week-long soak in a 55 gallon trash can to deep-clean and dissolve embedded grease and oil organics. I've previously used the hazardous acid products that worked very well, but also dissolved my concrete driveway when I dumped out the used product - that worked very well to clean and bleach the filters. The Oxy product costs less, worked about 70% as well (not as bright, and I could feel oil left on the rubber ends), and didn't etch my concrete drive when I dumped it out.

Cleans super well, does not degrade the filter.
We use our hot tub every day, so the filter does a lot of work to keep the water clean. Over a month, we notice that the jets get less forceful. I will soak the filter in this every month and it completely cleans and restores it to a "new" condition. The soak water is dirty and the jets return to full force, so I know it is working. I still get a full two years of life from the filter and I am confident that this does not degrade the filter at all. It is an excellent maintenance tool.

Great product
I have purchased this product multiple times. I've used much more expensive spa filter cleaners but this soak product works better or just as well when dissolved in a 5 gallon bucket.

I've been using this soak for years. It really cleans the filters well.

Work better than the liquid, but still not great.
It worked better than the liquid that I bought, but itโs still them clean the filters that well and then I had a pail of toxic waste

Very effective at removing oils
However gross it may sound, people's body oils and sunscreen residue won't come out of a thickly pleated cartridge filter (not the single pleated, I mean the $120 ones) just from rinsing. At the end of every pool season I will thoroughly rinse off the filter, I take a cup of this powder, mix it with HOT WATER and place it into it's filter housing (with the valves closed obviously) and let it soak in there for the entire time I am closing up the pool. At the end of the day (about 5hrs) I take the filter out and drain the filter housing of the oh-so-smelly water that was extracted from the filter then rinse everything thoroughly again. No, it will not be white like it's brand new (it never will), but I've removed all the oils and yuckies that would cause cloudy water and the filter is ready for next summer. This stuff is great!

I was pretty surprised
I had clean but foamy water in the spa. Tried different things, but nothing helped with he foam. I thought I had to change the water sooner, but decided ti try this product first. And it worked. A bit pricy, but really works!

Good but pricey
It works, but outrageous price in Canada. It's almost 1/10th the price compared to US. It does work however. Just can't justify

Does not clean filters very well
Doesn't clean as well as advertised. I have used this product many times and it has never fully cleaned my hot filters. I have even tried a separate second cleaning cycle on the same filters and they still did not come fully clean. The old (filter cleaning) potassium permanganate powder that I used to buy (not available anymore) always did a thorough cleaning of my hot tub filters.
