HairZing Cord S-T-R-E-T-C-H Banana Comb, Hair Accessory that is perfect for an Easy Ponytail, UpDo or Faux Hawk, Black, Large

I do like this comb. It's a heavier version of the scunci comb that I also like but find it hard to find locally. My moderately thick lockey hair hold this comb well. I could see a problem though if your hair is thin, fine or very soft. It's heavier and could see it sliding down. Compared to scunci you may ask? This is well made, the ribbon on the comb is nicer, It's sturdy and you can choose a size. For the price you can feel the quality. Scunci...just cheaper. What I don't like on this it the metal the elastic hooks to to keep clip from opening on top. I much prefer the ball scunci uses as it looks much nicer and is less noticeable. Because of that metal rod I removed a star. I can sort of get my hair to cover it but with someone who has more of big locks its hard. For that metal rod I remove a star, I want my hair to look nice and not be able to see that when my head is turned.

I have a lot of hair...regular clips like this are never big enough to hold it all back. But the stretchy elastic bottom stretches too far at the base, so while it sweeps my hair up nicely, it starts to fall within 15 mins or so and there really isn't any "tension" if that makes sense. Anyway, a little bummed, so close but not perfect. If you have thin hair, this won't work.

I was really looking forward to use this as I saw a variation of this on TikTok and loved how it made curly ponytails look. To my luck unfortunately the product arrived damaged.

My hair is very thick and wavy, hard to style and difficult to hold in place. I wasn't sure how to use the Hairzing when it arrived, but the instructions were easy to follow. I wore it yesterday to a special occasion and received many compliments on my "elegant hairstyle." All I did was wash my hair, towel dry it, crunch it with my fingers and use the Hairzing. It was perfectly comfortable and my hair looked great for about five hours afterward. Yes, I thought the Hairzing was expensive, but clearly it will save the cost of having my hair done for interviews, conferences and special events. It may save me money over time. The black Hairzing does not seem very sturdy, so likely it is not suitable for everyday use. It comes in a reusable plastic bag that keeps it protected and clean, and I look forward to wearing it again to a friend's wedding next week. If there were a durable version that worked as well [or even almost as well], I would be tempted to use it every day. So flattering!

Everything is not for everybody. So if you have straight or fine hair than the large clip is not for you. This company does sell a medium clip for fine or less curly hair. You may want to try that one. Okay with that said I bought one because I want to jazz up my regular curly afro I have been rocking for about 3 years now. I call it my lazy doo because with kids I don't have to do much to it in the morning. Just pick out and go, if that. Anyway, new year updated me.....I have banana clips that do not hold. I will be chunking them out shortly. I got this clip yesterday and even though I have not had it long I can already tell this will be my go for for a while. I am ordering another for back up as I type this because nothing last forever. It is so comfortable I forgot it was in my hair. The reviews that say the teeth got tangle, I don't understand how. SMH. The package comes with directions and you can look up a video on how to use it. So directions everywhere. As for the price I don't really mind because you get when you pay for. Those cheap plastic clips break or continue to pop open. So if I want to get the style that I want I figured I have to pay a little more for it. Anyway would get different colors but due to my hair I will stick with black because I doubt you can even see the clip with all my curls. Again this clip is for THICK hair. If your hair is thick and unruly at times I think you will love this in my personal opinion. I already doo.... :-)
