I bought this for my "kids," but let’s be honest: I’m the one currently leading the league standings. The magnetic player movement is so satisfying it’s borderline addictive, and the pitching control actually lets you bring some heat (or at least pretend you’re a pro from the comfort of your chair). It’s the perfect size for a tabletop, and the scoreboard makes it official enough that my family can't dispute my legendary home runs. If you’re looking for a way to have an MLB-level rivalry without the risk of a pulled hamstring or a $15 stadium beer, this is your MVP. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys winning and/or aggressive competitive finger-sports.

This was a big hit for my grandson’s 6th birthday. It didn’t get put away with the other toys—he plays with it regularly. He especially enjoys changing the teams, which keeps him engaged and coming back to it. Great gift and lots of fun!

Our 8-yr-old enjoys the game, so it's a win. My issue is with the pitching: sometimes two balls come out, or a ball comes out prematurely when you pull back the lever, so we have a fair bit of shouting "NO PITCH!" And the magnet control, while a super cool idea, doesn't work that well in practice. Sometimes I get a good bend on the ball, other times not. And the idea of releasing the ball and then moving the lever to get an "S" bend—bogus, doesn't work. Batting is plenty fun, though. I'm a bit surprised that the board is built such that a strongly batted ball can leave the stadium; they should have made the guards a bit bigger, I think. And retrieving the batted balls is already a bit tricky for people with big fingers; we use a stick with a magnet on the end to fish them out of the little trays.
