TreeActiv Cystic Acne Spot Treatment Paste with Sulfur, Bentonite Clay, and Tea Tree Oil, Deep Breakouts, 20-Minute or Overnight Application, Suitable for Face and Body, 0.5 oz

I've had moderate acne for 35 years. Nothing that was reputed to treat acne ever helped. No, I did not go the route of tetracycline or Accutane. Birth control pills, UV light, and countless topical products and washes stressed my skin but did nothing for acne. There are more options on the market these days than there used to be. That means more ineffective options, but I came across TreeActiv's Cystic Acne Spot Treatment while browsing and noticed the rave reviews. It's expensive stuff! The pot only holds 0.25oz/7ml. But I saved my points up and bought one. This is a green cream that smells like peppermint oil. It is "100% natural", non-GMO, vegan, "cruelty-free", palm oil-free, paraben-free, SLS-free, aluminum-free, and Made in USA. But does it work? Its active ingredients are bentonite clay, tea tree water, witch hazel, peppermint water, spearmint water, pink grapefruit essential oil, lemon essential oil, tea tree essential oil, and aloe vera. Instructions are to massage a small amount into your blemish, allow to dry, and rinse off 30 minutes later. Or you can leave it on overnight, which is what I do. I use a Q-tip to apply the treatment. I use one end to scoop a little out of the pot and apply to blemishes. I wet the other end and use it to remove excess product from around the blemish after it has dried. This product is fairly drying and can sting delicate skin near the eyes, so I don't want it to sit on my skin except on top of the blemishes. I rub it in a little, leaving some on top of skin, then wipe off excess that has been smeared far and wide. It dries to a green-grey crust. It doesn't flake off. It will stay on all night. In the morning, my blemishes are reduced. I've used this spot treatment through two rounds of hormonal breakouts, about half a dozen pimples each. I apply it as soon as I notice a blemish forming under the skin. It has stopped the blemishes in their tracks. I reapply the next night if the blemish still looks active. This is keeping my breakouts to a low level, and, since every little pimple scars these days, it's minimizing scarring. I can tell you that benzoyl peroxide never did this. I've used it since I was a teenager, and it never did anything except dry out my skin. The TreeActiv treatment is drying, but it works. If a blemish gets away, I apply a hydrocolloid patch (e.g. Nexcare Acne Cover, Hero Mighty Patch) once it comes to the surface. It will draw out the gunk and shorten the blemish's lifespan without the damage that a comedone extractor or fingernails might do. But I have not had a fully-developed blemish since I started using the TreeActiv Cystic Acne Spot Treatment. Amazing. It's a bunch of plant ingredients, silicone, and a preservative. I have super-reactive skin, by the way, and this has not caused any trouble, but I am careful to wipe off stray product. Ingredients: Bentonite Clay, Tea Tree Water, Witch Hazel, Peppermint Water, Spearmint Water, Spearmint Essential Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, Lemon Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Aloe, Cyclomethicone, Liquid Germall Plus (preservative).

This product is SUPER for acnes. I mean, I'm not even sure if I used it on "cystic" acnes or not because I can't really identify difference between different types of acnes, but when I used it on my usual acnes - one of those that looks like a white bead sized bump and/or ones that would turn yellow and leave pretty bad acne scars - I was really surprised how it soothed down the inflammations and infection overnight. It's best if you use it when the acne is still on its initial stage, meaning it hasn't developed too much yet. Also, it's best if you put on a thin layer. You don't necessarily need to rub or smudge it on the spot so that it might absorb (because it won't absorb and because it works like a spot "mask") and if you apply too thick of a layer, it will likely fall off when it dries (remember, this is like mud). And our goal is to keep it on the face as long as possible! So, with normal use (mostly overnight because you don't want mud on your face when you go out, but certainly, you can use it during daytime if you're willing), it will most likely reduce redness, soreness, and size of the acne-to-be bump overnight. I'm a student, so I don't go out everyday, so what I do if it didn't go away as I would like it to be, is that I put it on the morning and keep it during the day and apply at night again. And it usually works if you're taking enough sleep and rest and not too stressed out. It works with a healthy lifestyle, so if it's not accompanied with the healthy lifestyle, it won't just mightily work. Also, it's worked with acnes around ovulation and menstrual periods. Oh, and it's also important to be persistent to apply this until the acne is completely gone away because if you stop using when you think it looks like it's under control, it will pop right up again. At least, it has to me. Anyways, I'm so glad I got to know this product because ever since I used this product, I didn't have to go through the pain of seeing my face scarred with acne scars. In my opinion, it's best to keep it down before it even tries to develop into acne (of course, you can use this product on a fully developed on-going acne but it's harder for it to work, I think). I even use TreeActiv invisible acne spot treatment to acne suspects on my face (like those suspicious bumps) before they even start. And the two products worked wonders to keep my face clear of acnes. So, try this! And plus, if you leave a feedback, they will send you another one for free. Their customer services are awesome!

I bought this product for the ingredients, and it's the first thing I've tried from this particular company. BUT LET ME JUST SAY. I have not found a product which is so clarifying, healing, and quick in it's treatment as this product. It just zaps anything you've got under your skin - I've used it on my cystic pimples and normal pimples, and with cystic, it'll take around 2-3 days to truly make a difference. With normal pimples, overnight is all you need. Texture wise, it's basically your standard mud mask. It's very creamy and has a strong scent of tea tree oil. When it dries, it leaves a crusty and cracked cover which has a slight tendency to flake off during the night. I love how natural this product is, and how it's the essential oils doing the work rather than a ton of strange chemicals. I can't wait to try many many more of what this company offers! However: I shall warn you. Prepare to be shocked by how small this jar is. I talking maybe half of your thumb wide and tall. I know. But you don't need much product and it does make it easily portable for traveling.

The product works really good, but the packaging is really small and the price is too much for a little dish of treatment. I probably will not be buying this again, because it’s too small.

I've only had this product for a few days now but I have noticed a definite change. I bought this on a whim because I got a very large cyst on my temple. I typically have cystic acne but this particular cyst made me feel like it deserved a name and social security number. I thought it would go away on its own with a little time and tender love. After 2 1/2 weeks of no change whatsoever, I started scouring the web for a cure. I used a small amount of this cream each night for the last three nights and the cyst has definitely lessened its intensity. What I mean is, it's not as bulbous or tightly stretching my skin. In addition, the redness has lessened as well. I wish I had taken a before picture (I didn't expect anything to do so much good). It hasn't completely gone away, but I didn't expect it to anyway. I also used some of this cream on my other regular cysts and zits and they have reduced their redness and intensity as well. I have had cystic acne for at least ten years now and few products (just short of years on antibiotics) have made such astounding changes to my face. ***I want to be clear that my acne has not gone away and it's only been a few days. However, If it never goes away, I will most likely continue using this product because simply lessening the appearance of cysts is enough (yeah I've given up on that secret acne cure after 100s of products). I read some reviews saying this product comes in a really small container. I'd like to shed some light on that: This is smaller than I could've imagined. It's absolutely tiny. This treeactiv product makes my Rodan and Fields Eye Cream container look huge. There is good news, though; You barely use much of this product. The label says to use a tiny amount and I put a small film of it on. It's easy to put too much on, in fact. I think the size is scary at first but once you start using it, you realize it will last about as long as any other spot cream. ***Note: Additionally, I have started using the Treeactiv Invisible Spot Cream during the day and maybe that has helped this specific product along. I give most credit to the Cystic Acne Spot Treatment, though, because the redness reduced immediately after the first night of use.

This has really worked for me. I have PCOS and I am always fighting cystic acne. I am married to my skin care routine and I put this on right before I moisturize for the night. I haven’t tried it overnight yet but I think if you have sensitive skin like me I’d say rinse after 20 minutes tops. Use a VERY thin layer. You don’t need to scoop it, just a little almost clear amount will do. I used it for maybe 3 times and I saw noticeable improvement.

I am a 37 yr old female, with NEVER ENDING hormonal, cystic acne.😭 The acne started about 2 years ago & has been going strong ever since. Never had it growing up, so dealing with it now has been a nightmare! I have combination to dry skin. I feel like Ive tried it all, except Accutane. Just wanted to try any & everything before I make that choice, knowing it’s an intense experience to commit to. When starting this spot treatment, I also began using the Humane Acne Wash, the Daily Facial Toner by TruSkin, as well as thier Tea Tree Clear Skin Super Serum. I chose these specific products by researching a regimine that is made for my skin care issues after reading hundreds of reviews from women going through very similar struggles & ultimately saying these products were life-changing! Which is Why I LOVE Amazon. Reviews are SO HELPFUL & I appreciate everyone who takes the time (that no one really has) to share their experience in hopes to help someone else. **NOW MY ACTUAL THOUGHTS SO FAR..... I am aware its not usually the smartest choice to change everything at once, so I took it slow, listening to my skin as I went. Thankfully it adjusted easily. BUT - My face most definitely broke out with some pretty big & mean mosters throughout the week. Because of this I have already used almost half the container. Which is TINY to begin with- only (.25 oz.) which is insane for $25. But I went with it because I finally found a “CYSTIC” acne product. *It does state on the container I will get my next one for free as a gift, but I have yet to try.. It does help with the initial shock factor of its tiny size. It says to rinse after 30 minutes OR leave on overnight for the worst kinds. Which Ive done. Ive found it tough to keep the mud-like product disbursed evenly in a localised spot. Hence- Ive gone through way too much for 1 week of use. Once you’ve applied it you can feel it working. You want to apply the thinnist layer possible or you will end up with fat chunks dried to your face. But its a definite struggle to cover the area with only a thin layer, at least for me. As the week is ending my skin has cleared up a lot considering the initial huge swollen zits that appeared. With all that said, By morning, I do notice them being smaller & improving.. It does state an initial breakout is a possibility & to let it go through the process. I wish I would have taken pictures throughout the week to show you mine. I am happy with what the product does for me regardless of said issues, overall. Definitely give it a go if you’re tired of the struggle. I will update my review after longer use. I LOVE the benefits of this clay so much and am so grateful to have found it. Yes, the pot size is small but a little goes a very long way. Pros: 1. It’s thick enough to apply and stay in place as well as dry very quickly so it stays in place 2. Fast acting, meaning you can actually feel the skin drying and tightening depending on how thick of a smear you apply. For this I feel like you have to know your skin. I know that on my forehead I can cake this on but I have to chose a more gentler approach on my cheeks. 3. For large oil pockets building under the skin, although it does take time and diligence, it prevents them from growing, leads to overnight drying/shrinking, and then healing in days rather than weeks. Days! Yes! 4. For best results I leave it on overnight and wake up to being pleasantly surprised and feeling a little more confident that my skin will be clear fast. Blemishes get a light swab and oil pockets get a smear. 5. For “normal” small spots I can apply a dob first thing in the morning (a bit thick), drink my coffee and read the news while it dries. In that time it has already started what I will finish during my night time routine having all but deminished the spot. I do recommend being gentle when wiping it off so your makeup routine doesn’t agitate it or it become red. Cons: 1. It is a clay and when it dries it is visible. But this is not necessarily a con. As the clay dries you can gauge by the color/rehydration how much oil has been removed. It’s a great indicator that you may want to (I do every time and it’s sped up healing time) gently dab off and reapply to further the absorption/drying of oil. This is an individual choice as everyone’s skin is different. I also only do this for those truly worrisome spots. 2. For larger oil pockets I have had to cake the clay on. Because I do this at night the edges of the clay dries and flakes off onto my pillow etc. Again, it’s only a partial Con because it’s easy to dust away and the effects are far more important then a little clay dust. Not having cystic acne spots grow verses clay dusting.....easy choice. 3. Not worth wearing during the day unless you are able to feather a teeny tiny amount over the blemish/bump/pocket, which also is still effective and I have. I apply a thin layer, let it dry, and then wipe/dust off the discoloration but you can still feel he drying.

The treatment comes in a small bottle that is extremely expensive for the quantity and runs dry after a few weeks of opening. Also it did not help me with acne at all. Total scam!

I have had adult onset cystic acne for several years and this is one of the best products I have tried. It reduces the inflammation and redness and clears up my breakouts much faster than any other product I have used. This is meant to be used as a spot treatment and can be very drying on the skin so do not spread this over your face. The pot it comes in is quite small and at first I was not impressed. However you need such a small amount to see results that the amount you receive should last a long time. In my opinion it is worth the money and I will be buying this again.

Apply boroplus that will give better results than this product, if not, you will not regret because you have spent less than 200 rupees. Completely waste of money, don't even think to try it once as I did.

I NEVER hock products on Facebook and rarely give reviews, but this cystic acne treatment has changed my life! I started developing cystic acne about 2 years ago, along my jawline and on my forehead and nothing has helped the pain or made them go away the way that this product has. I’ve only been using the TreeActiv product for a couple weeks now, but it’s helping the cystic pimples shrink so much faster and greatly reduces the pain. Plus it clears up any little white heads in just a couple hours and smells amazing! I hope they make a body lotion with those same oils. This is a great product! 💜
