I installed this for a customer after she told me about it and it worked great! It did the job perfectly and was easy and quick to install. It is satisfying to watch it close the door.

Easy to install, good instructions! Works very well on heavy door. Will buy again for other doors. This could save my dogs life, in case I would have not closed the door completely , going outside.

I have a small hall closet that my family constantly keeps open. It has become an annoyance as I am the only one constantly closing this door. It is also an eyesore when I walk through the front door because it is wide open and you can see into the abyss of mess of shoes in the closet. I saw a similar gadget on YouTube and quickly came to Amazon for my search. This product was quick and easy to install and works as promised. The only downside is that it doesn’t completely close the door but that may be due to how the door is installed. I installed it closer to the door than what’s pictured and it still didn’t close my door all the way. I did start to hear squeaking noise but along with my usual home bustle, you can’t really hear it and it doesn’t really bother me. Such a great solution for a small problem!

This works better than we anticipated. My husband said that it was easy to install. He also said that he had to adjust the tension a time or two, so you should keep track of the “tommybar” that comes with it.

We have lived in our home for 4 years and our pantry door has always been an issue. If the kids forget to close it, the dogs are in there eating everything in sight! I cannot believe it took me this long to order this device. It works perfectly. Was very easy to install. It does make a slight noise but not all the time and it is not loud. I have french doors to a patio where my dog likes to go out onto. But this meant my ac bill was crazy as the door stayed open. I wanted an auto closer that wasn't a whole production to install. This fit the bill perfectly. It hooks onto the hinge and there's a spring and a little bar. Depending on the door and how open it usually goes decides where you put the bar. I did a little tension at first then moved it more when the door wasn't closing enough. It doesn't close the door fully but it closes it so no air is getting in and out. And it's quiet and doesn't slam the door. When opening the door, it doesn't open as much and there's a slight tension but it isn't a problem. It isnt' enough force to hurt an animal if they turned back, at least for my door. It is hidden and not noticeable at all. I'm really happy with it. My dog does not have to scratch to ask to come back in but that's fine. I started to train her to open the door with a pull toy and that's an easy thing to teach. But now my AC bill isn't running all day and my dog can go outside and watch the world. It comes in a little box with instructions. It was easy to install.

I was skeptical about this item due to reviews regarding the noisy springs. This item is definitely noisy out of the box and I was about to replace it with a different type of closer until I read on the Google that applying grease to the internal mechanism would help. I coated the mechanism with White Lithium Grease from Lucas Oil and lo and behold, the thing hasn’t made a noise since! As far as functionality, I wish there were more threaded holes to adjust the closing speed. I could either have it not shut or close pretty hard. I went with the hard close since it is a garage door to the house, which needs to close on its own in CA. Overall, I recommend this product after greasing it up.

Its nice strong and super finish but you have very poor control on the closing speed, it has just 1 speed CLOSE only either it closes slowly but will not complete the mission or smash your door and complete the mission... I am using it on my gate aluminum door it gives a big smash i need to look rubber stickes to reduce the smash.. I needed the conventional one but it did not fit my space

Wanted something small for entrance of my garage that will not take a yorkie out of he came in behind a child. This works perfect. Shuts the door but not to hard. Easy to install
