Will this work on a murray lawn tractor (42571x8a)?

This is simply an inline fuel filter. Does your tractor have an inline fuel filter already? It will fit any fuel situation that has a 1/4" fuel hose. You just take the old one out and replace. Even if your mower doesn't have an inline filer you could cut the rubber hose and add this between the two halves. It is held on by a couple of hose clamps. (Not supplied) Just that simple!
