This is an amazing product. You spray it on your windshield and it repels water. As you drive, the water just bubbles and sheets away as you drive. The only problem is that you have to train yourself not to use your windshield wipers because the constant scraping and friction of wipers against glass will probably cause the Rain-X to dissipate faster and need more frequent reapplications. I've found other uses for it as well. For example, in the home, I have glass enclosures for my shower stalls. In order to keep the glass super clear and not stained with water marks, we treat it with the Rain-X. It works really great indoors as well. Beware, though. If you are using it indoors, be sure to open a window or hold your breath. Rain-X contains some pretty potent chemicals which give off fumes. This is not a complaint, per se, because of course, water doesn't just NATURALLY run away from a surface. But seriously, these are some of the strongest fumes I've ever smelt in a consumer product and it's a little bit of a deterrent when I reach for the Rain-X. Also, there is a version of Rain-X that is a glass cleaner in one. That one is not as effective as the original and do not recommend buying anything but the original.

I would recommend Rain-X to anyone.

Clean glass thoroughly, I use ammonia/water mixture, make it streak free. Spray this on, I use the WypeAlls, and create even coat. Allow to dry. Use fresh water spray bottle, a different clean wipe, spritz the haze just slightly, clean until crystal clear. Makes removing bugs in summer extremely easy. Makes rain roll off - you'll use intermittent while everyone else has theirs on super-fast-warp-high speed. It wears off quickly, as it is something you apply and isn't built into the windshield construction, as all window treatments are.

i bought a whole box of it to take advantage of the price, and ended up not knowing what to do with all those bottles, since one bottle lasts a long time. Decided to give it is gifts to all my girlfriends - who all fell in love with it. My sister applied it to all the glass surfaces of the car, including mirrors, and can't get over how much better she can see through the windows, particularly when it's raining. The water just slides right off of the windshield and you can see so much better than without this product! Same is true for snow. No need to reapply often. I'll probably be reapplying soon, but it's been a few months since last application.

Rain-X has ALWAYS been a great product and when I did a little price comparison between Walmart and Amazon for the SAME product, I could get 6 bottles from Amazon for the price of about 2 or 3 bottles at Walmart. Same great product for a much cheaper price even if it means that I have to buy in bulk. Aside from doing a great job repelling water from my car windows, I also like to use it on my glass shower door every week or 2 just to help keep the soap scum and water marks from building up.

This stuff is also great for removing pine tar from your vehicle.

With the way the water beads up and just blows up the window, I believe this product enhances safety while driving in the rain. It lasts longer than I expectect, too - about 2 or 3 months - before another treatment is required. I also wonder if this product extends the life of your wiper blades. They definitely operate more smoothly with this product on the glass. Some have mentioned that it is hard to get off. You definitely need to apply on a warm day with low humidity. Make sure you let it dry like you would a paste wax.

When we remodeled, we put in glass-walled shower and this makes it sparkle all the time!
