When we purposefully change our handwriting, we introduce attitudes that can improve our relationships, give us the impetus to achieve and take risks, and simply bring out the best in us. This is because our handwriting is a reflection of our innermost thoughts and feelings. When we fall in love, survive a serious illness, or change careers, our view of life is dramatically altered and, as a result, our handwriting patterns change. Conversely, desired transformations can result from intentionally changing the way specific letters are written: * Stick to that diet by changing the letter T. * Avoid being overlooked for that well-deserved promotion by changing the letter G. * Reduce stress and cease juggling too many things at once by changing the letter S. * Overcome shyness or stage fright by changing the letter A. Included is an enlightening assessment test that identifies those personality traits requiring attention. Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life profoundly reveals that the key to making dreams come true is as simple as putting pen to paper. Review: Your handwriting is a map of your attitude toward life - The author, educator, and handwriting expert, Vimala Rodgers, is my Elvis. I’ve had a copy of her book, “Your Handwriting Can Change Your Life,” for a few years and keep reading it over and over. I also purchased her kit called “Transform Your Life Through Handwriting” (which comes with a guide book, 2 CDs, and 26 cards). This process of changing your handwriting is amazing. I started practicing my new handwriting last year and swear I will never stop. The actual letter changes should be done in 40 day cycles as explained in her books. I’m not always doing a 40 day cycle, but I’m getting there. When I feel that I can’t commit to a 40 day cycle, I focus on how I’m writing my numerous daily lists and notes and try to maintain what I feel is intrinsic to who I am now - my handwriting. The idea that someone could take a sample of your current handwriting and analyze it in order to create a psychological profile is nothing new. Neither is the idea that your handwriting is not the same now as it was when you were in high school, college, or in the army, for example. We’ve all changed the way we think about things with age, and thus we’ve all been changing our handwriting over time involuntarily. It’s not hard to understand how changes in our thinking patterns will show up as changes in our handwriting. However, this handwriting program is about going in the other direction, about making deliberate changes to your handwriting in order to change the thinking patterns. According to Vimala, your handwriting is a map of your attitude toward life. “It is a graphic representation of how you see the world, how you’ve interpreted what’s happened to you through the years, and who you are at the deepest level. It not only reflects attitudes you have about yourself, it also reinforces them.” Vimala wants to be your guide. She wants you to express your talents fully and to live an inspired life. She designed this handwriting program to be used as a tool to unlock attitudes that will move you forward in life with joy and a sense of being fulfilled. Practicing her alphabet sets you on a journey to remove any self-defeating attitudes that prevent you from seeing who you really are underneath it all. We are not to judge ourselves in this process, for there is no such thing as good or bad handwriting (one of her “Five Noble Truths”). But there is handwriting that supports you, or handwriting that doesn’t, and her books explain the soul quality of every letter and how to inscribe each one in the most self-affirming way. It’s hard not to love Vimala. She cheers you on to try her program all the while proclaiming, “Don’t believe me!” That’s because belief in her or her work has nothing to do with how this process works. Vimala points out how the action of changing your handwriting is physically making changes in the brain. She explains that your subconscious mind controls your handwriting. “When you learn a different way of writing, what you are doing is re-training the subconscious. You are telling your mind how to think. The subconscious mind dictates who we see ourselves to be, not because of what’s happened, but because of how we have interpreted what’s happened to us. And as you shift handwriting patterns, you are telling your mind, ‘I don’t do that anymore, I don’t think that way anymore. This is who I am.’ ” When you try some of her suggested letter changes, I promise you will be surprised at how your pen is moved by your subconscious mind. You’ll see for yourself what I’ve seen a million times - how you think you are going to write a letter in a certain way and your pen seems to have a mind of its own. That is, until you slow down and focus, and take command of your hand. Remember, you’re telling your mind, “This is who I am.” You can’t change what has happened to you through the years, but you can choose a different interpretation of what it meant. To do so requires an opening up to new thoughts and attitudes and your handwriting can do that for you. Review: Personally signed by Author!!! - Oh wow! I got this used and didn't expect to get it so soon let alone open it up to find an inscription by the author herself! I was already creating my own coping mechanism of transcribing from a book of poems to my journal to practice mindfulness, an ease of control, and pacing my thoughts and actions. My writing starts beautifully then turns into something The Talking Heads would sing about. Seems pretty straightforward and before I could try this self-imposed cognitive behavioral technique, I read Louise Hay speak highly of this book, inspiring me to find it here. I can't say I know yet the contents of the book; but the story above is how I randomly came upon this SIGNED copy of this book, heralded as phenomenal by some of my favorite authors (another detail I mislooked until I got my hands on a copy). So with this strange way of discovering a gem, I know already that this is just what I need at this wonderful point in time. What I seek is further awareness And compassion towards myself and others. I'm not sure if this is that but I'm more resolved now that this is what I need. I may update you once I've consumed this yummy wisdom that is clearly a special on my life's menu today.

You just have to try it!!!
I’m down to my 7th day of my first 40 day handwriting challenge focusing on my Hs and Fs and amazing miracles have come into my life as a result of my commitment. I cannot emphasize enough how much this one book has changed my life in such a short period of time. I can now only write on blank paper in landscape position and following some of Vimala’s other suggestions is changing me from the inside out. I swear this book opened the door for Transcendental Meditation to come to me only 2 weeks into my handwriting challenge so between my daily handwriting changes and TM my life is on a whole new and much more desirable path. I was literally in a state of grief and feeling lost in my life just before committing to Vimala’s challenge. For the people who left not so great reviews I say these people could probably use the book the most and would probably find that if they tried the actual challenge to completion that they’d be writing a stellar review too! It’s a quick and easy read. I found myself really having fun with the process because results were starting to show within the first 1-2 weeks. Then again I was ready for change. And my prayers for change have been answered in greater ways then I imagined possible. Thank you Vimala! Follow up: it’s been a few months now since I completed the handwriting challenge with Hs and Fs. I actually took on changing my Os and making sure every letter has a forward motion to it. Wow oh wow has my life cracked opened! I want to focus on Hs here because in her book, Vimala points out how this is a life changing letter. It opens doors when practiced diligently and it has done that incredibly for me. In fact within a couple of weeks I started to notice that term “open doors” everywhere. I also starting to notice how certain doors in my life were closing. During this time I found Transcendental Meditation and between my new handwriting practice and my TM practice, my life is really changing and shifting to one that feels more in alignment with my heart and who I am today. I cannot thank Vimala enough for this incredible tool that God blessed her to share with the world. I still practice my Hs almost daily especially when I’m experiencing a challenge in my life. But now instead of being afraid to face challenges head on-I proceed forward courageously taking it one step at a time knowing and trusting everything always works out for the best especially when I am following my heart’s guidance. I’ve had to let go of some old limiting beliefs and flaky friends and even moved a couple of times - but it’s all perfect because I can see how God is shifting the components of my life to make space for the new and wonderful that wants to come through all these new and wonderful open doors. I also cannot seem to write on lined paper anymore and I only write in landscape. It’s true once you learn to write the Vimala way you won’t want to go back to your old way of writing. Give it time and practice with all your heart. Within days you’ll see the miracles and magic but after a few months - watch out! Your life will shift for the BETTER! Thank you Vimala.

Amazing!
This woman is simply phenomenal and really knows handwriting. Having been a student of handwriting analysis all her life, she has arrived at an amazingly accurate process for seeing the personality beyond the writing. Vimala Rodgers is expert at her craft, and she can so easily explain her work in a minimum of verbage. In just a few short chapters, you too are gaining great insight into this sometimes mysterious art of handwriting analysis. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about this subject. One of the best books that I have ever read on handwriting.

Great Handwring Guide
As a human potential practioner and metaphysician, I'm always on the look out for new tools to better help me understand myself. The Vimala method of handwriting is set become a new tool. From my studies of handwriting analysis, I both know and understand how one's handwriting shows character traits. I also understand that altering one's handwriting can introduce new character traits to the psyche. The Vimala Alphabet technique and its science has already started to shift things within me in the short time I've been practicing it. Back to the book. The book is a fascinating read and, if you are willing to practice the method mentioned in this little book, you can highlight more empowering traits whilst de-emphasising less helpful ones. A great read and a great personal breakthrough guide I look forward to returning to again and again. Definitely worth the money!

Fascinating Read
I originally bought the book from a recommendation from the book 7L: The Seven Levels of Communication and I honestly thought this one would be kinda boring but hey I’ll give it a shot. I was totally wrong, it is very interesting and dives into a subject I never thought of before and never would have ever experienced had this book never been written. I won’t give away exactly what the books about but all I can say is I highly recommend you give it a shot and see what writing and simple changes in your writing habits can do to your life overall… It’s much much more than just making your writing more aesthetically pleasing, much more.

a lot of fake reviews but still pretty good
I've had this book for 5 years and have practiced it to the point where my handwriting is the spitting image of "Vimala's" (in quotes because she didn't actually make the handwriting rules in the book even though she obviously would like people to believe she did.) For the past three years every single letter except for the letter y (I just like my own Y better) is done instinctually by me. Here are my thoughts: 1) First of all let me say that anyone who thinks changing their handwriting will change their life is probably looking for a magic pill. You may be able to make some very minor changes to your personality by changing your handwriting, but the idea that it will completely change your life is absurd. If you continue to choose to have people in your life that put you down and spend your days with them and think that by going home and practicing your T-bar for 20 minutes a day is going to give you more self-esteem then you're going to be sorely dissapointed. The changes I have had in my life since I started using this alphabet are too abstract and minor to know for sure if it was the handwriting that did it. 2) After having purchased a few books on handwriting in the past I like the suggested practice sessions described in the book. She suggests writing the letter repeatedly- then writing words that begin with the letter repeatedly- then words that end with the letter and words that have the letter in the middle of the word etc... It's a good way to get the letter in your bones so that you no longer have to think about it anymore. Before long you just write that way. 3) Too many reviews on here are fake. It's AMAZING how many of the 5 star reviews on this book has it the very first or second review they EVER placed on Amazon. Amazon's been around for over a decade and yet too many people who have purchased this book somehow didn't discover the site until very soon before purchasing it. In the book Vimala Rodgers does seem to try to convince you that these ideas on handwriting are hers when she's actually taken them from other analysts before her. So that dishonesty is what made me wonder if she'd also be dishonest enough to pay fake reviewers so I checked and sure enough- virtually all of the 5 star reviews I checked had the issue I mentioned above. 4) I am happy I got this book- however the reason is because it helped turn my really ugly and illegible handwriting into something that can be understood by others. If I had gotten this book to change my life however I would've been very disappointed. It did however- change my handwriting and for that I am grateful.

But like everything else in life if you are consistent and ...
Really loving this book. It's a different way of looking at self-help but I'm finding it really interesting and am working on it regularly. I've always been interested in understanding what our handwriting says about our personalities. Changing your handwriting is a lot more difficult than you'd think - as soon as you have to write something quickly (i.e. when you're at work) it can be challenging as I find I tend to revert to my old way. But like everything else in life if you are consistent and buy into it you will see change. Some people may have a different opinion when it comes to something like this and I can understand that but I think if you really believe it can help improve your life, thought process or ability to change, I do believe you can see changes no matter how small, as I am definitely seeing changes myself.

Highly recommend it.
I'm writing this review after 40 days of the practice. I had been going thru an emotional roller coaster since past few months & began to pray for guidance. A few days later this book came up in the recommended list on my kindle app. At first I found the title strange and amusing but decided to go for it just to see what happens coz somehow I didn't believe that our handwriting can change our life. I was wrong. Anyway, I started practicing the letters in the new style, initially it was difficult, but slowly i got better at it. My biggest challenge was in the small "q" It took me a long time to get it right. When I looked up it's interpretation, I was very surprised, bcoz it's a letter to guide us to do small things with great love and not to be fixated on doing great things which anyways wasn't really happening in my life. During the 40 days practice I also noticed a few other things about myself, like - I was calming down, I restarted meditation which I had stopped doing since past few years and the most important and totally unexpected change which I noticed was regarding my eating habits. I began to notice that I was eating slowly and mindfully and less than before tho' I didn't connect it to the handwriting initially. I had a habit of eating quickly without paying much attention to the food, it's taste, quantity or anything else. I was having a few health problems related to being slightly over-weight. Now I naturally felt less hungry. I began to notice that my body was giving me signals about when to eat and how much to eat (tho' not necessarily what to eat) I never imagined that my body was guiding me, I always thought that I was the one guiding it. Another letter I had problem with was "J". It's a letter of intuition telling us to pay more attention to our sixth sense which I always ignored much to the detriment of myself and my life. This too changed and slowly I have started listening to my inner voice. To cut the long story short, this is a great book if you sincerely practice changing your handwriting. I highly recommend it.

Such as interesting book
Louise Hay lead me to this book and I bought it out of curiosity. I am so glad I did! It is a facinating subject, very well written, easy to read, and a challenge to try and change your handwriting. I have found that things in my world have been shaken up by this challenge and am interested to see where it leads me. If you read this and are determined to put this new alphabet into practice, I would highly recommend purchasing Vimala Rodgers new item 'Transform your life through handwriting' (Book & CD) as it is the perfect accompanyment. Enjoy the challenge! Transform Your Life Through Handwriting (Book & CD)
