Is the wood surface hard enough to draw on with strong pressure? Or is it a softer wood that a sharp pencil will dig into thru thin paper? Thanks

Accepted Answer

A vinyl drafting table cover or a plastic desk protector pad can be used to protect the surface against strong writing pressures. The wood surface holds up well to normal handwriting, but if you press hard (we mostly see this with young children learning to write), indentations in the wood can occur.

Can this be made into a custom size?  Possibly looking for qty (5) with a size of 37" X 25"?

Could this writing slope be used with a laptop to elevate it and make it more ergonomic?

Accepted Answer

Yes, these writing slopes can also serve as laptop stands, but keep in mind a few things: 1) The laptop cover must be capable of opening to a large enough angle to accommodate the angle of the writing slope. If your laptop opens to 140-degrees, it can be elevated on a sloped surface up to 45-degrees. However, if your laptop only opens to a maximum of 90-degrees, it cannot be elevated on a sloped surface at all, and must instead be elevated on a FLAT surface; 2) The bottom lip on the writing slope is 3/4" deep. Laptops with a square shape on the bottom edge should sit securely against the lip. Laptaps with a curved bottom edge may not; 3) These writing slopes are several inches larger than a laptop, so they can gobble up a bit more desktop real estate than you might like. Not a problem if you have the space.
