Wilton Beginning Buttercream Decorating Set, 20-Piece Cake Decorating Kit

My toddler daughter was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease and she loves checking out the sweets at the supermarkets. I felt compelled to learn to decorate some home baked safe sweets so she wouldn’t feel left out at birthday parties, etc. The Wilton kit is a no frills (just comes in a box with minimal instructions) but for the price it was attractive. It was straight forward to use and it’s actually made me interested in learning more about decorating. The tips clean well in the dishwasher (top rack in a baby dish washer basket). There are a lot of cheap no name brands in the search for the set but Wilton has been around forever and I trusted that they would provide quality material for the kit and I wasn’t disappointed. I would recommend and I hope to learn more techniques soon.

These don't come with the connector piece, but it's not necessary to have it. We used them to frost Christmas cutout cookies with buttercream frosting. They were easy to fill and use to decorate - even my 5-year-old niece had no problem squeezing the frosting out onto her cookies. I chose this set because of how many different tips were included, and that worked out really well. They make very pretty designs. I'm not a good decorator and grew up just spreading the buttercream on with a knife, so this was a big step up for me - my cookies never looked better! Looking forward to practicing more with them.

The tips are great but the number of piping bags that come in the pack is really small

Loved, loved this little cheapo set. I’m in no way a professional baker, but I decided to try a fancy design on my cupcake frosting. Fingers crossed. This kit is simple and easy to master, you’ll be a doing those Food Network cupcakes on your first try. Cupcakes were a big hit (it helps if they taste good too), and I got rave reviews on my skills. I don't bake a lot. Somehow in my last move, I lost my container of piping supplies. Never fear, Wilton is here! This package was perfect. The price was right, the piping heads are perfect for cupcakes and cakes. And I have a love affair with their disposable piping bags. They are durable and easy to use. Its a great set for anyone.

Basic icing bag and tips. Worked as expected. Would recommend getting the icing tip connectors for a better seal.

This kit had everything I needed (except for the coupler Wilton 411-7367, that was really useful too). I made cookie monster cupcakes and the specialty grass tip made it very simple. The specialty grass tip was expensive by itself, so I was glad to find it in this kit where a bunch of other tips and piping bags were included too. The other tips were fun to play with, I was able to pipe some flowers and shells.

Haven’t used it yet but It looks like a good beginner set. However the description said there are 10 bags included, I only received 9. Makes me question their quality control. Otherwise good

Habe mich für ein Cakesmash Shooting an eine Buttercreme Torte getraut. Dank der großen Sterntülle hat alles super geklappt. Die Anleitung war auch ein wenig hilfreich.

Las boquillas Wilton son lo mejor de lo mejor, con estas basicas puedo hacer formas curiosas, rosas, cesped, dan para mucho juego de creatividad en la reposteria, las recomiendo como todo lo de esta marca y las mangas pasteleras, las mejores que he utilizado del mercado, que conste que Wilton ni me lo ha regalado, ni me paga por dar buena opinion, pero es que lo es bueno lo es.

I purchased this cake decorating set as a gift, and I was very pleased with it. It arrived on time at my doorstep in good condition in a secure box of appropriate thickness to protect the product. I opened the outer box, then the inner box, and inspected the contents. Everything was there, clean and new and in good condition. The metal tips were finished properly, and none were dented or deformed. I wrapped the gift, and it waited for the day to be presented, and the recipient was extremely happy with it. I would suggest this set as an excellent quality beginner decorating kit. As it is made by Wilton, the top name in cake decorating supplies, you know you can always add to it in the future and build upon it as time goes by. Pair it up with some additional icing tips, and disposable icing bags, and it makes a great birthday, wedding shower, or baby shower gift. You know there will be lots of special future cakes that will need decorating after those life events. I would also recommend this kit as a great starter kit for yourself if you are interested in learning cake decorating. Il set contiene due beccucci grandi e otto piccoli: non me li immaginavo così piccoli in effetti. Inoltre contiene anche 10 sacchetti: sono molto resistenti e spessi ma un po' troppo piccoli come dimensione. E anche forse un po' troppo spessi. Consiglio comunque l'acquisto.

Haven't used long but really nice. Was worried they'd be knock offs because of the price, but definitely high quality, all nozzles are clearly identifiable and piping bags are of good quality too
