I love this curling iron. I have had trouble finding one that is easy to use and has a decent barrel size. And heats up nicely. I have owned one like this before, but lost it. This was worth replacing. I have difficulty with larger barrel sizes because my hair is not long enough in the places where I need the curve. My hair will not respond unless wrapped around a barrel small enough in circumference, but not too big. Hence, the curve works with my fine hair, which will not be smooth enough in a larger-barrel curling iron unless I use additional styling tools—double damage. Unless you want more bells and whistles, you will be happy with this good-quality item. It is basic, with the on/off functions showing, and you need to make sure to turn it off. If you want to gift something, you might find it cost-effective to pair it with other hair products, like a heat styling leave-in product and clips to keep the hair sectioned like they do in the salons. I must use Amazon's gift delivery service because I live far from my loved ones. This is cost-effective and a tried-and-true method that still has a place in today's world. This is a product you can use carefully, yet you don't have to worry about the smell unless you push it with too much heat or products that aren't meant for heat styling. The speed and average temperature are easy. It will hold up well if you have the type of heart that usually responds. My hair is not straight and has a bit of natural wave. Though if you have straight hair, I think the medium barrel, or smaller one, will work well, especially with hair products for the body. For me this has great hold. Enjoy!

This "manual" curling iron is no frills, but it gets the job done well. I always need to be mindful of cord length and this one is on the shorter side at 5ft. I've found that it heats up quickly and adequately, but I also noticed that the hand I keep on the iron would unintentionally change the heat setting dial during use.

This curling iron is just right. Right size, right weight, works great!

This was pretty nice but I probably should have bought smaller diameter. It heated to a temperature that I expected. You would still need a flat iron or pressing comb to manage roots.

Works exactly as described. I love Conair products and this is a nice addition with personal settings for desired temperature and curls. Nice quality as all Conairs. Makes my hair curly or wavy depending on the settings.

For the money it is awesome. Does a great job of curling or waving the hair. Easy to handle. Nice heat.

Worked perfectly. Quick heat-up, solid. Bought to make ringlets in my little girl’s hair for a play and the 1/2” size was just great.pinned the curls up as they cooled to create even longer lasting curls.

On off button doesn't work. Ive bought these before, they worked great, im disappointed

Bought this as a christmas gift for my wife. It's a hard to find item at local department stores. It has multiple temperature settings which my wife loves and a auto shut off for safety. My wife has a owned Conair curling irons before, and swears by them.

The second i finish the curls it goes down and doesnt last although i have a thick hair… also watch out as I had to pay delivery fees to return it!
