Took a chance on this stand because it's 1/4 the price of the Hayward stand. Plenty of reviews claim it leaks because of the included oring. The oring on my stand seemed fine, sitting nicely in the groove with plenty of material above the lip for sealing. I only twisted the stand on snug, not super tight. And as a precaution, I placed the assembly in a bucket to catch leaks. To my surprise, no leaks. Worked perfectly. And the stand held my salt cell nicely, didn't tip over at all. Either the other reviewers didn't clean the oring mating surface properly, or the manuf fixed the oring issue... or a mixture of both. Either way, my unit worked flawlessly and I recommend it. I used to fill an entire bucket with an acid bath to clean my salt cell. This stand let's me use much less acid, saving money.

Description says "Compatible with All Hayward Salt Chlorinator Turbo Cell". I have a CircuPool Universal40 SWGC and the stand fit the salt cell perfectly. I tried a test fit first without any teflon tape and filled it with water, there was a very small leak. I tightened the stand a bit more to stop the leak. The leak became like drops, but unscrewing the stand was very hard. So, I used the included teflon tape on the cell before screwing it onto the stand. It went on much smoother with the tape and there was no leak. Filled the cell with just household white vinegar, let it stand for a couple of hours, then poured out the vinegar, unscrewed the stand (much easier due to the teflon tape), cleaned it with a nylon bristle bottle brush under running water and rinsed it out. Came out like new. The stand makes the salt cell cleaning a breeze, very convenient without creating any mess. And much safer too, if you plan to use diluted muriatic acid.

Great adapter for cleaning salt cells. No need to use a ton of water. Just get the cleaner.

The local pool store wanted $75 for the Hayward brand cleaning stand. I opted for this AR-PRO GLX stand instead at just under $15. Seems simple enough... screw on my TS325 salt cell, fill with cleaning solution (I did a 2 hr soak in straight vinegar - worked great), empty and rinse. Welllll... the thing wouldn't seal no matter which end of the cell I screwed in, or how tightly (or loosely) I snugged it. Even tried some lube on the o-ring. Thing still leaked like a sieve. Ran to the hardware store for a pack of (thicker) o-rings and added Danco's #115 atop the OEM one. Perfect! I submit that, at least with my TCell, the supplied o-ring is too shallow to form an appropriate seal. (It sinks into the stand's groove providing little to no contact against the salt cell.). The o-ring I added was not only thicker in circumference but wider in diameter - providing much more sealing surface contact.

I saw this on YouTube and it was used to clean the salt cell for salt water pools. I recently got a notification from my pool to clean the salt cell. I purchased this and thr lube that's recommended and it worked perfectly. There was some slight leakage but I didn't used the included white tape which is while it happened but it wasn't a big deal. Makes cleaning the salt cell easy and it closes off one end and the acid can be added on the open top end. Highly recommend.

I have no idea why Hayward didn’t include such a helpful stand with my overpriced TCELLS340. It is a pain to maneuver the entire chlorinator into a pitcher or bucket with cord attached. This stand was so much more efficient and stable. Frankly the design of my Hayward chlorinator is inferior compared to my previous one which easily allowed you to extract the metal cell from its casement and throw it in a pitcher with cleaner, but I digress. This stand is fantastic! The gasket alone worked fine for me (without the teflon tape). Just make sure it’s quite tight before adding your cleaner. I also didn’t find it difficult to unscrew it afterwards and I’m a non-fit female senior. I just gripped the indents in the stand. I don’t like to work with muriatic acid so I use plain vinegar and let the cell soak for 15 minutes or so (depending on build up). This purchase is a keeper and makes chlorinator cleaning a breeze.

You need this to clean your Pool Turbo Cell but I found it didn't seal well, leaked out the mixture. Although it has spots for the cell's cable, it still interferes when attaching it. I don't know if there's any "suitable options" for this item but wish they would work on the design some.

It doesn't create a perfect seal so some acid will leak out. Recommend using a tray to catch the small amount of spillage. Otherwise, it works well enough to do the job.
