Love it it came in time I didn't have to wait a week

During this movie's time, most Americans were really like the characters in this movie. Sadly now, that is not the case.

Doug’s Air Force pilot Col. Ted Masters (Tim Thomerson) is shot down over a hostile Middle Eastern country and taken prisoner. The U.S. government is powerless to negotiate his release. With time quickly running out, Master’s teenage son Doug (Gedrick) takes bold action. He enlists the aid of a reserve offer (Gossett) and they devise a daring military rescue mission to storm skies, exact vengeance on the evil captors, and free father. Powered by dynamite aerial dog fight sequences, a soaring rock soundtrack and thrilling edge-of-your-seat action.

Ich habe den Film damals schon sehr gerne gesehen. Die Story, die Musik und die Schauspieler bieten ein rundes Gesamtbild. Umso enttäuschter war ich, als ich den Film später vergeblich im Handel gesucht habe. Bis ich den Tipp bekam, mir doch mal diese Version genauer anzusehen. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Auch wenn das Menü auf Spanisch ist und ich den Ton und die Untertitel erst einmal um- bzw. ausschalten musste, so war das ein sehr kleiner Preis für einen Ausflug in die Filmvergangenheit. Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut, ebenso der Ton. Die Synchronisation ist die Originale aus den 80'ern. Alles in Allem ideal, wenn man mal wieder einen Film sehen möchte, bei denen die Schauspieler die Hauptrolle spielen und nicht ein Programmierer der die Effekte erstellt.
