Worked well with my mom's older DVD to HDMI TV
Bought this so my mom's older DVD player would work with her TV that only had HDMI inputs. The adapter needs AC power, as most of them do, which is a bit of a drag but necessary. It worked well though and did the job.

Portta Component to HDMI Converter
I purchased this converter after I trashed the HDMI connector on my old 400 disk Sony DVD player (approx 2005) and needed to connect it's component outputs to my TV HDMI inputs. It works fine and the picture looks almost as good as the early version HDMI, at least with my low res dvd's. The five RCA cables I used are a bit klunky but functional. Only problem... I did have to power cycle it once when my tv said "no input".

Works as intended but does nothing extra
TLDR; •PS1 titles on the PS2 did not work •Settings on the PS2 must already be set to YPbPr (from RGB) or no picture will show •No Upscaling (like it mentions) is true •PS2 titles with 16:9 will output but TV needs to have picture sizing set properly as well ——— Works almost as intended; there is some slight jittering at the screen’s top parts, but it’s very minor (may very well be my component cable as well, as it is an original from the early-mid 2000’s). Only issue I must stress is that there is NO picture when hooking the PS2 up to the TV with this converter if the PS2 is set to RGB. If you can use another dongle to get the picture up with he default RGB picture setting, then switch it to YPbPr and connect THIS device, it will show. It does NOT support PS1 games on the PS2. Valkyrie Profile would not show a picture except for the main menu. Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria worked fine, but my TV settings took some finagling to fit its 16:9 option without looking weird. All-in-all, it does the minimal of what is needed for supporter titles on the PS2, but does not upscale or render PS1 games, at least not for what I experienced. Other RGB/AV composite devices to HDMI did work for both, but does not allow for the 16:9 setting on PS2 titles to fit properly.

Works as promised but BUYER BEWARE
I bought this basically because it's the best option for playing those few PS2 games that support 480p mode on my PC monitor, and for that specific use case it works fantastically. HOWEVER, it should be noted that most consoles that output to Component cables use 480i OR 240p. 480i looks like hot. flickering garbage on my monitor, and it refused to display the my copy of Tomb Raider 2 on PS1 at all, which runs in 240p. MOST FLAT PANEL TV'S AND COMPUTER MONITORS CANNOT HANDLE RETRO CONSOLE RESLOTIONS OR HANDLE THEM VERY POORLY. This box will not fix that, nor is it intended to. You'll want a box that does upscaling and/or deinterlacing, such as the Retrotink or the OSSC. There are cheaper boxes but they tend to introduce lag or suffer from signal interference. I knew this going in and only bought this box to handle a few specific games that support 480p (which the Retrotink/OSSC will actually mangle). It works as advertised, and it's not advertised as a one-step all-retro console miracle box, so don't expect one.

failed to work
I have a old VCR/DVD combo that doesn't have HDMI out. So bought this and connected to my YPbPr composite cable and RCA audio cable. I have no idea why but nothing work. No audio, no image. Usually, one work and one doesn't, but this one just doesn't work. Disconnected both cables several time thinking it's connectivity issue, but still no audio or video image. I even tried just the audio, but nothing. My TV doesn't even recognize the devise, but when I disconnect the HDMI cable, my TV tells me "the cable is disconnected" so it does recognize that cable was connected to something. Wanted to return and replace it with the new one, but threw away the original package which is needed to make the return. Oh, well. Guess I have to eat the price. Mine failed out of the package. So be warned. And keep the package until you confirm the function of the device. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Dont get for ps2
It will get an image on screen but the quality of that image will be fairly poor. I have cheap aliexpress adapters that work better. Also the color space is still incorrect when using ps2 as image will be dark and have crushed blacks losing midtones. It works but there is way better at cheaper prices.

Working well out of the box! MAKE SURE TO SET UP TV PROPERLY
I used this to test connecting my Wii via an HDMI connection, as newer TVs have ditched all the RCA style jacks altogether. At first there was some input lag BUT this is because I did not set up the TV and the console properly. The TV needs to be in its Game mode, and the Wii needs to be on 480p instead of 480i. After that the quality looked great and there was no input lag! This is a great option if you are not looking to perform any additional upscaling or modifications to the image. I saw this converter was recommended on Reddit for this purpose, over more expensive converters such as RetroTINK or GBS-C. Time will have to tell as to its longevity. If I end up with any major problems, this review will be updated. Tested with the following setup: Sony X80K 55" Original Wii using unknown third party component cable Bomberman Blast MarioKart Double Dash on progressive mode with a Wavebird controller

Excelente producto
