The squirrel is not scared of anything. I'm angry! **Q: I have a Newfoundland dog, 160 pounds, that scratches the screen door to go in and out. Will this hold up to her? She doesn't jump on it, but she packs a punch!** A: I think it would work fine. We have five dogs, 80 lbs to 10 lbs, and it holds up great to all, and they all jump and try to scratch on the screen door. I was replacing screens every few weeks and this has made that unnecessary. Good luck! **Q: Can anyone tell me the best diameter size spline to use with this heavier duty screen? It's for an aluminum window frame (versus a door)...** A: The spline needed is based on the door or window you are taking it out of. If you had 1/8" in there before use 1/8" if you used 5mm before use 5mm. This product does not change the size spline you need. I have some windows in the house that take very small spline and some windows of the same rough size and shape take very large spline- it's all based on the manufacture of your window frame. **Q: Has anyone used this for a screen porch? Would it work to keep my cat from clawing a hole through the screen and escaping?** A: We are using it on our three-season porch and it keeps the sixty pound pit bull from barrelling across the room and through the screen after a squirrel. Cutting it even with a utility knife is not easy, and so far my cats haven't been able to claw it, so I think it's worth the time and money to replace with this. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pet Screen, Polyester, 36in.x7ft, Charcoal - Saint-Gobain ADFORS Black Spline, .140 inches x 100 feet - Durable Window and Door Screen Spline, Ideal for Screen Repair and Replacement - Prime-Line P 7505 Screen Rolling Tool – A Must Have Tool for Installing Window and Door Screens – Spline Roller with Wood Handle and Steel Wheels – Durable and Easy to Use (Single Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://grenada.desertcart.com/products/1856184-pet-resistant](https://grenada.desertcart.com/products/1856184-pet-resistant) --- *Product available on Desertcart Grenada* *Store origin: GD* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
