Just like Falloon's book on the Triumph, this volume on the BMW line is simply amazing. With the heavy, enameled paper stock, the photos literally snap off the pages. Early history of the marque explains many mysteries surrounding the name and badge. Old factory photos are a bonus. With three Airheads in my modest collection, I was pleased to see so many chapters devoted to the earlier R-models. Highly recommended for BMW mavens and aficionados.

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas present so the revue is his! 😀 In my opinion this is the best of the best for history of BMW motorcycles. The book is informative and absorbing. Great Christmas present.

Das schönste Geburtstagsgeschenk!
Unserem langjährigen Freund haben wir diesen Band zum 84. Geburtstag geschenkt. Sehr schön, daß es ein solch ausführliches Buch auch in englischer Sprache gibt. Der Beschenkte, - er fuhr früher ausschließlich Motorräder von BWM, liebte es, mit seinen Maschinen - und selbstverständlich auch seiner Ehefrau - regelmäßig in den 60er, 70er und 80er Jahren die Elefantentreffen am Nürburgring zu besuchen. Seine Freude über diesen auführlichen Band ist nach wie vor riesig; wie er sagt, schmökert er fast täglich darin. Uns freut das natürlich auch.
