Ice Boy Hardcover

I was doing a unit on ice with my students and wanted to find a few stories to read. There are hardly any stories about ice, they are all about snow. So when I found this book I was super excited. This story is super cute and my students love it. It explains the “lifecycle of ice” in a fun way. 10/10

My 6yo read this book in kindergarten and loved it so much we had to buy our own copy. The teacher said it was very popular with the kids. We’ve read it so many times that my son is now reading it on his own. Cute story!

Such a cute book on water cycle ! Pro tip-see a youtoob reading of this book to preview. I showed this to a group of 2.5 year olds and had to summarize the longer pages. May be more suitable for older kids. The kids sat through the whole book, even though I summarized the end as the began to get fidgety.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this book. I'm a literacy prof and I read this aloud everywhere- and teachers everywhere tell me they go out and buy this book because it's just amazing. Covers many standards- water cycle, phase changes of matter- matter phases- albeit not perfectly but in a fun, introductory way. A must have for elementary teachers.

Son loved this book from the library and made us renew it twice... that is our signal to add the book to his personal library. Yes, the story is about an ice boy... but some fun science thrown in.

My preschool class loved this book so much we read it five times! It is a great book to teach about ice, liquids, and the water cycle. I would definitely recommend this book.

Great story with a different way of looking at life! Always a treat to read a story from one of our favorite authors!
