Siblings Jessie and Evan Treski have waged a lemonade war, sought justice in a class trial, unmasked a bell thief, and stood at opposite ends over the right to keep secrets. Now they are creating a magic show—a professional magic show, in their own backyard! They practice, they study, and they practice some more. And who shows up? Their father, who has done such a good job of disappearing over the past few years. Just as Evan and Jessie took on running a business in The Lemonade War and a court of law in The Lemonade Crime , in this fifth novel of the bestselling Lemonade War series, they take on the challenges of magic and illusion, all while discovering some hidden truths about their own family. Another fresh, funny, emotionally charged novel by the author Books for Kids calls "one of the best writers for the middle grades around." Like a modern-day Beverly Cleary, Jacqueline Davies writes with heart, humor, and honesty about family and school life for middle schoolers. The six books in this fun-to-read series are: The Lemonade War The Lemonade Crime The Bell Bandit The Candy Smash The Magic Trap The Bridge Battle ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Book 5 Of 6 | The Lemonade War | | Dimensions | 5.12 x 0.69 x 7.62 inches | | Edition | Illustrated | | Grade Level | 3 - 7 | | Isbn 10 | 0544439333 | | Isbn 13 | 978-0544439337 | | Item Weight | 7.2 ounces | | Language | English | | Print Length | 272 pages | | Publication Date | March 3, 2015 | | Publisher | Clarion Books | | Reading Age | 8 - 11 years, from customers | ## Images ![The Magic Trap - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/815-nRGlBbL.jpg) ![The Magic Trap - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Fxk-l33pL.jpg) ![The Magic Trap - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61B+PYK8a0L.jpg) ![The Magic Trap - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61lH6xrCNpL.jpg) ![The Magic Trap - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Iz0fV+IzL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Series for 4th-5th Graders *by on Reviewed in the United States June 23, 2026* An excellent book series for a 4th or 5th grader. Our daughter loves this series. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... book in a series of 5 - I would recommend reading them in order *by on Reviewed in the United States March 13, 2017* This is currently the last book in a series of 5 - I would recommend reading them in order, although not necessary. I read these books to my 9 year old at bedtime and we both enjoy them. Main characters are a brother and sister and stories deal with various relationships and challenges with family dynamics. A fun easy read. Again, I would start with the first book, the Lemonade War, and if that hooks you, the rest of the series is equallu good and even better as is goes on. I only wish this wasn't the last book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Touching Story *by on Reviewed in the United States May 19, 2014* When Jessie and Evan get a surprise from a special visitor, it's like getting a new pet. Or being at summer camp, it's like a new habitat or new place. You can't come running home when ever you want. Jessie and Evan's dad is cool, but can also break a few rules. Such as taking stuff from their Mom's office, taking down the railing off their porch, and cutting a hole in the floor boards of their porch. But when Annabelle (the storm) is coming, they will have to break a few rules. Jessie and Evan need each other to survive storms, troubles, and life. Magic is the needle of the thread, it leads Evan and Jessie across the fabric of life. I hope Evan and Jessie take me on more adventures throughout their lives in the Lemonade War Series!!! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://grenada.desertcart.com/products/17221094-the-magic-trap](https://grenada.desertcart.com/products/17221094-the-magic-trap) --- *Product available on Desertcart Grenada* *Store origin: GD* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
