Will I be able to install on the ceiling of my unfinished basement?

This will depend on what your unfinished basement ceiling is. You need a surface to install the screws to.

What type of curtain do you use?

The track has little circles on the end, so I bought curtain clamps that have hooks in the end. Right now I have rod pocket curtains clamped onto the track. I spaced my attachments 10 inches apart instead of 12, and I could use a couple more to make it look nicer.

for the seller... Could you cut a longer section? I need 6 uninterrupted meters...

Will this hold heavy black out curtains?

I was able to hang some pretty heavy curtains on it. Just make sure you are drilling correctly. I hope suggest drilling directly into wood and not just theydrywall
