Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice: A Book-to-Table Classic

I am unable to stop myself from writing a review because this book is that pretty. Ordered it for gifting to a loved one but now I am tempted to order one for myself as well. The print and paper quality of the book is really good. It cost Rs 675 which is a good deal for a hardbound edition. And the book seems to be almost edible with all the mouthwatering recipes and gorgeous designs. It's ideal for your collection if you are an avid reader/book collector/baker/Austen fan! The only con I would point is that it's on the heavier side so you might need to keep it on a table or somewhere while reading (or else be ready to have a good arm workout). Either way, with a book this pretty I wouldn't mind! Thank you Amazon and the seller (the book lounge) for such prompt delivery (received in perfect condition 2 days before due delivery date). Also received a book mark and a personalized note from the seller. It's the little things that count!

If you are buying this to read, don't because it's heavy to carry around. But it's a lovely lovely book, with illustrations and colourful pages. Best for gifting or keeping in home libraries

Such a beautiful edition of the classic Pride and Prejudice. I usually buy hardcover editions of classics not to read but to add to my shelf. But this one can be read comfortably without worrying over causing damage to the book. And it has beautiful, delicious images of cookies and pastries, and recipes as well, when you're craving for an English high tea. I gave 4 and not 5 stars because the back of the book had some smudges which seem impossible to remove. But this is definitely a must have for all Austenites.

Beautiful book and a must buy. I got for a steal (600 rupees). I personally think it lived up to the price. Beware it is not in a traditional book format, it has glossy pages and is like a table book. It is NOT an abridged version. I got a badge also with it. I am quite happy with it . A must buy

Summary: The book itself is a classic, but i'll keep this review about the puffin classic book package. They have turned a book into an artpiece. The pages are a pleasure to turn and the pictures to see. Pros: 1) Great great great packaging. Thanks Puffin! 2) Story old as ever. Classic in every sense. One of Jane Austin's best works 3) Funny. Well told happily ending love story 4) Did i say great package? Cons: 1) Written in Victorian England. Definitely has stereotypes. 2) Teenagers these days with short attention spans may not appreciate this classic. Make sure you buy this for a person who reads.

I am in love it is so beautiful. It even has recipes to some tea time treats that also at this price.
