Holds a surprising amount of weight
I installed this to handle swimming suits and towels. I was concerned that the weight of multiple wet swimming suits and towels would cause it to sag but it supports them well. Easy to install (except for the set screw on the retractable base, that took some finesse).

Low quality. Fails to retract after a few weeks
This clothesline is cheap and works initially. But after a few uses the metal cable starts to fray and gets stuck when trying to retract. We have replaced it at least 3 times via Amazon and every single one has become unusable after a few weeks.

Great addition to the laundry room
My laundry room is very small and this was the perfect addition. The cable is strong stainless steel so it doesn't rust. Get hold several wet articles without sagging or falling.

Packaging was torn. The steel string is already a bit rusty and it doesn’t extend or retract smoothly.
