Camaleones

Camaleones (Chameleons - 789 minutes) This one is extremely well directed. We start with a heist during a gala that celebrates a jewelery launch, by TWO people, each of whom is unaware of the other. Turns out both are being blackmailed into doing jobs for "The Master," a crook named Chameleon. They must go under cover and pose as employees at a private military academy. They are housed together because they pretend to be siblings (last name Jaramillo) but an attraction begins to grow. The man who plays Sebastian (Alfonso Herrera) is particularly appealing, sort of an Antonio Banderas type, while the athletic woman he loves (Parkour figures into the plot), Valentina (Belinda), reminds me of a combination Leslie Caron and Natalie Portman. The (highly-principled) male juvenile, Ulises (Pee Wee) resembles a young Matthew Broderick. One sub-plot involves a decades-long trial where we can see that a lawyer is bilking his client; another features the specter of a long-missing son; while a third centers around a long-festering need for revenge. Great, great villain, Augusto Ponce de Leon, is played by Guillermo García Cantú. Yup, some unusual psychic stuff and LOTS more action than we expect in a telenovela. Of course there is the usual choppy editing that is inevitable in condensations of this nature, but this one is a cut waaaay above average, that's why I've ordered my own personal copy from Amazon.

One of the best telenovelas I've watched. A bit hard to follow at times as much footage has been cut from the original, but still wonderful. Fun, action packed and romantic

I'm a huge pw fan so I was "very upset" that so many scenes were cut! Wish there was an uncut version with full scenes! nontheless love the novela dvd....

This is the only DVD release of an Univision Novella called Camaleones. Now I love this show and I was so happy that I finally got my hands on it. But the more I watched, the more I noticed that this DVD release cut this show. It's not only minor scenes removed. They remove large amounts of this wonderful Novella. I barely watched an episode and a half(Note that the episodes are an hour each in the DVD and their supposed about 48 minutes each.) And the show had skipped through almost 10 episodes and skipped a lot or scenes. This makes it feel very rushed and ruins it. At least for somebody like me who watched this show on T.V. A full proper release would be appreciated. But if you never seen this on T.V from the beginning, than you'd probably enjoy it better than I would. It still makes sense for the most part, just that it might feel a bit rushed.

I just finished watching the first dvd I liked it but I was disappointed that so much of Ulises and Solange scenes were cut out like their first kiss. Other than that the quality is good and its worth the $15.

Tengo entendido que ésta telenovela fue famosa cuando se presentó y por eso me animé a verla. Pero lo que vi no fue muy bueno, varias historias que van y vienen y nunca toman fuerza. No se si la telenovela era igual y encima la edición para DVD no le ayudó pues no es de las mejores que han hecho. A pesar que la historia como tal es interesante, el desarrollo de ésta no lo es. Las situaciones de los personajes no llegan a cautivar. En la mitad de la trama empiezan a mostrar historias de otros personajes y al final no muestran sus desenlaces. También al final no cuentan que pasó con uno de los personajes que salió todo el tiempo y tuve que buscar en internet y de paso me enteré que le editaron algunas cosas, las cuales se hubieran podido haber mostrado y eran importantes en la historia. Y en el último disco hay tantos cortes para la edición que se notan bastante. No es una buena edición para DVD. Tal vez si a alguien no le importa mucho, pues la verá sin ningún problema.

i think that sebastian and valentina make a lovely couple in the programme i think how they despise each other then adventurely start to have feels for each other and then fall in love i just think its a shame how they break up to set up a curupited cop but then valentina finds out she is pregnant with sebastians child and she leaves to get pedro but he doesnt turn up then the currupt cop is arrested but so is sebastian and valentina and when they are getting taking away valentina tells sebastian that she is carrying his child and adventurely in the end they are free so sebastian goes to find valentina but cant find her not realising that she is upstairs in there flat and think that it is sweet that everything turned out in the end the only thing i disappointed was that some of the scenes were cut so i dont know what happened

preciosa novela juvenil, y un bonito resumen para volver a ver una y otra vez, me encanta la historia y no tiene desperdicio.

La buscaba de hace bastante tiempo. Una lástima venga tan recortada.

La telenovela está muy interesante a pesar de tener sus detalles, desafortunadamente está demasiado resumida en esta presentación, y de repente se pierde un poco lo que quieren contar.
