Review: Excellent Reference Book - I will never have a chance to read the whole book but it is fun looking up subjects and getting an answer. I would consider this a fun, interesting and useful reference book. Review: Now nine years old -- - Fun, but getting a little long in the tooth. I wonder that the NYT hasn't updated it yet.

Best Coffee Table Book Ever
This book has so much useful information you'll find yourself unable to put it down. I found it so useful I purchased another copy for my daughter. Every parent should buy this book for their children before they send them out into the real world. A great how-to manual for real life!

Practical to Practical Thoughts
It is a great read! Unlike being in a form of a normal book, it serves to have each entry separated and easy to search. Great way to kill time while being educated!

Not what I'd hoped
I was somewhat disappointed. I love "The New York Times Guide to Essential Knowledge" and thought this would be helpful, but the advice is either sort of obvious or just falls short (not enough information). Could be good for giving a graduate who is going off to the world on their own.
