SabatierLion YSIS Four Steak Knife Set

I purchased my set of professional kitchen knives in 1993 with my first home in the UK. The Lion Sebatier. And all these years later still have them. I looked at my steak knife sets that seemed overpriced or just lacked the certain"je ne sais quoi". Then I thought... let's check what Sebatier have been doing since we last met.. and Wala!Love these knives. Pulled two of them out of the box and gave a close examination. Beautiful. So I ordered the same box set of new kitchen knives.Sebatier is the pinnacle of French Steel. And in my humble opinion the most undervalued knives on the market.And that I am happy for. Back in 2006, I parted with $1500 for a beautiful set of Shun Ken Onion knives that look like they belong on a Klingon battle cruiser. They are no longer made and I feel like not using them. I can't trust any one else with using them either. The last girlfriend that tried almost amputated her own finger, dropped the Santoku, and bent the blade. I was lucky enough to find a new one on eBay and don't want to go through that mess again.Long live Sabatier.

I was going to buy a cheaper set of steak knives but glad I didn't, these are worth every penny.Super quality knives, sharp, ergonomic and weighted perfectly.Going on past experience with decent knives, don't put them in the dishwasher or let anyone else for that matter, Just wash with soap and water and they will last a lifetime.

Perfect for a very good looking steak knife and is amazing
